Hezbollah has responded to a missile attack that killed two of its fighters near the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib last week.
On January 4, fighters from the Lebanese group and others from Syrian pro-government forces targeted a truck used by militants in the town of al-Atarib in the western Aleppo countryside with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM). The truck and two nearby vehicles were damaged as a result of the attack. Casualties were also reported among the militants.
Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the de-facto ruler of Greater Idlib, had claimed responsibility for the attack on Hezbollah fighters, which targeted the 46th Regiments base near al-Atarib on December 29 and was also carried out with an ATGM.
The terrorist group attack was a violation of the ceasefire in Greater Idlib, which was brokered by Russia and Turkey more than two years ago.
Hezbollah has a strong presence on Greater Idlib front. However, the group operates under the command of the Syrian military and respects the ceasefire.
HTS and its allies escalated their attacks in the last few weeks in what appears to be an attempt to stir up tensions between Ankara and Damascus, who are currently engaged in talks sponsored by Russia. The Turkish military maintains a large presence in Greater Idlib. Any Turkish-Syrian agreement could mean the end for militants in the region.

Hezbollah is one of the most powerful, deadly ed efficient armies in the world. It is part of the Axis of the Resistance.
Second time I read about Hez using an ATGM on a truck in response to attacks on them. Note, a very precise strike on a military target. They are one of the mose predictable and stable force in the M.E. and are unfairly labeled terrorists.
Allahu Egber!
