Russian forces are pounding various expensive systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military cannot hide either Soviet or NATO systems from Russian strikes.
On March 5 alone, footage from Ukrainian battlefields showed the destruction of two US-made HIMARS MLRS and another Ukrainian S-300PS air defense system.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the destruction of two launchers of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems in the Mykolaiv region on March 4. The strike was reportedly launched by the Russian Iskander missile. The footage confirmed the success of the attack:
Another video from Ukrainian frontlines showed the destruction of the launcher of the S-300PS air defense system and the 5H63S illumination and guidance radar in the area of the city of Slavyansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They were also struck by another Iskander ballistic missile and an X-35U anti-ship missile launched by Russian Su-34.
The ongoing Russian massive airstrikes on Ukrainian military positions on all frontlines forced the Ukrainian military command to transfer more and more air defense systems closer to the front. As a result, the number of destroyed Soviet and NATO systems is growing. LINK, LINK
