On February 12, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) released a video documenting the shootdown of a CH-4 combat drone of the Saudi-led coalition.
The drone was downed a day earlier while it was conducting a sortie over the district of Medghal in the central Yemeni province of Ma’rib.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Houthis, said that the drone was downed with a “new ground-to-air missile” while it was conducting “hostile acts” in Yemen’s airspace.
The CH-4, developed by China’s CASC, has a range of up to 5000 km plus a 40-hour endurance. The drone is equipped with an advanced electro-optical targeting system and can be armed with a variety of guided missiles and bombs.

The Houthis boosted their air-defense capabilities in the last few years. The group is known to be operating several air-defense systems, including air-to-air missiles which had been modified to be launched from ground.
In the last three days the Houthis stepped up their attacks on Saudi Arabia. On February 10, Abha International Airport was targeted. On February 11, an attack hit King Khalid Air base. On February 12, both sites were again targeted.
The Houthis carried out these attacks in response to the Saudi-led coalition’s operations in Yemen and the strict siege imposed on the country.

So I’ll give you an option – reply to my comments with a useful content which I know you can write (in this case explain to me why they can not do it, I say they can and should do it to end the war). The Ansarallah are manufacturing the latest version of Misagh 3 which is designed for slower and smaller aerial targets and has a range of 5-7 kms.

The Ansrallah are producing the Iranian version of SAM-358 known as Khordad 3 and is shooting down drones like flies from Lebanon to Yemen. The Chinese drones are very cheap, crude and slow and easy to down, however, the Khordad has downed much more advanced Zionist and US drones with ease. The Zionists are so scared that they have stopped drone flights over South Lebanon as 4 were shot down by Hezbollah mobile teams and data and cameras handed over to Iran.

Frankly, the Saudi airforce is in mercenary hands and with money in short supply and Yemeni drones taking out airbases, the Saudis are in pretty dire straits. They are short of flyable aircraft and foreign pilots.
