Support SouthFront

On April 25, the ISIS news agency, Amaq, released a video showing a recent attack on an armored vehicle of the Egyptian military in the Sinai Peninsula.

The video shows a Caiman mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle getting hit with an improvised explosive device (IED). Despite receiving a direct hit, the vehicle kept moving on.

According to Amaq, the attack took place on April 10 on a road near the al-Fallujah checkpoint, west of the city of Rafah. The result of the attack is unknown.

In the last few weeks, ISIS cells in Sinai intensified their IED attacks on Egyptian military vehicles and troops. On April 17 and 18 only, several Humvee vehicles were targeted in different parts of the peninsula.
