The Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) announced on November 26 that its units had eliminated five militants and injured six others in a new attack on the Turkish-occupied part of the northern Aleppo countryside.
The well-planned attack targeted several positions of the so-called al-Waqqas Brigade in the village of Tuweys, near the town of Marea.
The ALF released a short video of the attack, showing its fighters targeting Turkish-backed militants with sniper rifles equipped with thermal sights.
The al-Waqqas Brigade is one of the smaller Turkish-backed groups in northern Aleppo. Despite its limited resources, the group is participating the Turkish-led attack on northeast Syria, codenamed Operation Peace Spring.
Since the beginning of the Turkish-led operation last October, the ALF has stepped up its attacks in northern Aleppo, mainly near the area of Afrin.
“Turkish-occupied part of the northern Aleppo countryside” ?!?!? Correction would be as “Turkish-backed-SNA-occupied part of the northern Aleppo countryside”
Go the mighty ALF, 5 more Turkish backed terrorists dead and still no losses on their side, I’m starting to think they’re just about invulnerable, it’s been 6 months or more since they’ve suffered a loss themselves, and during that time they’ve managed to kill more than a dozen Turks as well as a hundred or more of their stooges, which gives them by far the best combat results far above and beyond any other fighting force in Syria. The article should’ve also mentioned that the Turks retaliated against the ALF by lobbing a few of their own artillery shells into Russian/Syrian controlled territory, some landing no more than 5 km away from the airbase the Russians now occupy and patrol, one day the Turks are going to accidently hit the Russians and I wonder what’ll happen then.
