It appears Russia is worried after all. But having some centers operational as early as April 30 is a bit too late.

Compared to what? They have only 1000cases and Russia already has 250% more hospital beds than U.S.

Ivan Freely

Unless they plan to move foreign patients into the country for treatment. Then why build 16 centers? However, I just noticed that the article made no mention that these medical centers are strictly for CoVID-19 patients, unlike the ones that China built.

Russian hospitals are numerous and well equipped. I think they are planning for the worst and hoping for the best. Better tactic than the UK and U.S. lets wait how it goes… For two months…

Most of Russia’s cases are in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The locations where these facilities are going up are in the regions, where so far there are only a handful of cases here and there. Health Care supply in some of these regions, especially places like Petropavlosk-Kamchatsky, is less ample than core regions of Russia. It’s clear that worst case scenarios are being planned for by the military, in order to prevent regional health care structures from being stressed beyond capacity. It is part of defending Russia.

Moving Sars CoVID-19 patients into more isolated locations is certainly logical, that would enable regular hospitals to keep functioning and not be ‘overwhelmed’. It would also reduce accidental contamination.

Don’t mistake worried with realistic. There is no way of stopping this virus …. only slowing it’s spread. While Trump was claiming in Feb. that this was a Chinese problem and it would disappear by April the Russians had sealed the border with China and were taking the temperature of everyone coming into the country or getting off aircraft looking for fever back in December. This didn’t stop the virus … it did buy them time to prepare though.

Because the USA sat on their asses and covered their eyes instead of confronting this virus from the start their response is panic as people realize they’ve been lied to. The American ethos of the individual over the collective is their weakness against this virus. Americans embrace selfishness and greed as a virtue …. in a crisis that means every man for himself. Countries like China and South Korea that respond collectively are having better outcomes against the virus.

People getting this virus aren’t developing immunity …. that means it’s more like HIV than the flu. There is no cure or vaccine for HIV for that very reason. This virus doesn’t kill a large percentage of those infected but it put one out of six who get it in the hospital and like HIV if it sticks around for decades the death toll will rise and rise. Social distancing and working from home may be the new normal simply in order to have a functioning healthcare system.

This is a bio-engineered virus, regardless of by who, or why, and has 4 HIV receptors inserted into it. Tune in at 10 min up to 20 min on this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8ilxBYZHvQ&app=desktop

Better safe than sorry.

Looks like Russia is getting seriously and rapidly prepared for any potential EuroAtlantic aggression real, as the financial system collapses in the west.

Russia never fails to impress me. Still in shock and awe, with regards the medical units they sent to Italy. Complete with disinfecting vehicles.
