In Video: Precision Strikes Destroy GNA Forces’ Vehicles, Ammo & Fuel Caches In Libya’s Tripoli

On December 15, precision artillery strikes by the Libyan National Army (LNA) targeted forces loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA) in the al-Naqliyah military camp southeast of the country’s capital, Tripoli.

The LNA’s media center released a video of the strikes, which destroyed several pick-up trucks, some armed with heavy machine guns, as well as ammo and fuel caches of GNA forces.

These pinpoint strikes were carried out by the Mortar Company of the LNA’s 73rd Infantry Brigade. The LNA is known to be using Chinese-made laser-guided GP-1\6 155 mm artillery rounds. However, there is no information about the army using any type of precision-guided mortar shells.

A day earlier, LNA’s warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on allege Turkish weapons shipments and drones in the city of Misrata, east of Tripoli.

The LNA launched earlier this week “a decisive attack” on the country’s capital, upon the commands of its Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

nice job LNA

This looks like more like aerial bombardment.

Not sure – the vision is from a drone – could be a “spotter ” targeting for precision artillery (heavy 120 mm mortars or 155 mm guided ?) – I cannot identify the explosion signatures either way.

Some of the targetting reveals that there are some side or tangent shells. These side shells have smaller smoke.

The Russians are testing just about every combat element in Syria and Libya, with good effect
