On April 19, video footage surfaced online showing a pinpoint Russian artillery strike against an American-made M109 self-propelled 155 mm howitzer of Kiev forces.
The artillery strike completely destroyed the Ukrainian howitzer, which was deployed near the settlement of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. A 2K25 Krasnopol guided artillery round was reportedly used in the strike.
The Krasnopol can be fired by most 152 mm or 155 mm artillery guns. The round is guided by semi-active laser and has a range of 20 to 30 kilometers.
A drone equipped with a laser designator, most likely an Orlan-10, was apparently used to illuminate the Ukrainian howitzer for the round.
The Krasnopol is armed with a high-explosive warhead that weights between 6.50 and 11 kilograms, depending on the version.
Kiev forces received dozens of M109 type howitzers from the United States, Norway, Latvia, Italy and the United Kingdom via Belgium since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine more than a year ago. Many of these howitzers have been already damaged or destroyed by Russian artillery fire.
The Russian military intensified the use of Krasnopol rounds against Kiev forces in the last few months. According to recent reports, the Russian military industrial complex increased the production of the precision-guided round in the months following the start of the operation in Ukraine.
MORE ON THIS TOPIC:
I remember seeing lots of videos from Syria of those Krasnopol rounds surgically slaughtering lots of Sunni-Wakhabi-Psionist slaves, helping al-Assad keep the al-Qaim–Abukamal border crossing open and keeping Deir ezzor from falling in Psionist slaves hands, it was sweet. AL-ASSAD DEFEATED ZIONISTS.
Would it be possible to attach the Krasnopol round to a drone and drop that round from the air?
There already is a Russian air launched laser guided missile, is called 9K121 Vikhr AKA AT-16 Scallion
That sounds like a rhetorical question, because the answer should be self-evident.
Subject to weight limits, you can hang just about anything you want from a drone, and conversely drop it – presumably on a target.
BUT that would be a pointless exercise when you’re talking about a precision laser-guided artillery round. They’re designed to be shot from very big guns from a distance, and impact at very high velocity.
There are weapons designed specifically for, or specially adapted to, drone deployment. Mush better to use the right weapon for the right job.
New Zealand Christchurch Shooter Brenton Tarrant was trained by Ukrainian Azov Nazis in Kherson
The irony is that Jacinda, Scomo and Albo sponsored the Ukrainian Azov Battalion with ADF weapons and YOUR tax $ millions..
Convicted neonazi Brenton Tarrant killed 51 innocent (incl. children) New Zealanders in the Christchurch terrorist attack in 2019.
He is an Australian neonazee citizen who trained with the radical nazi Azov Battalion.
Can’t be more than a hundred Americans who’ve heard that before now.
this is why we are here, this is why that we, you and me and we all should and must spread the word
Interesting from an American perspective that a small payload is used. Enough to damage the equipment but not enough to create a crater twenty feet deep (like what the American army would do).
It’s Russians you know. They prefer to avoid collateral damages.
B-A utiful!!!
These weapons looked great on the Nato PR blurb. Now they are a fiery mess.
Great balls of fire soon in this theater : Krasnopol meets Leopard.
From my point of view, Russia is not fully using its military capabilities yet. What are they waiting for? The use of Krasnopol, Kalibr, Kinjal must be massive, as well as the use of quadcopters, supported by the targeted bombing of kab-500 and 1500 on the frontlines. So far, Russian military activity seems to me more like a sexual prelude.
This is a war of attriction between Russia and USA-NATO (using nazi-fascist ukraines as soldiers), that is the reason. For Russia, it would be very easy to destroy nazi-Ukraine. However, that is not the point, the point is to destroy USA-NATO economies and to control USA willing of making war allover the World.
Can Russia send just one up Jewensky rear orifice and one in Bidet mouth?
Russia got all the good toys.
they must be down to their last few pop guns by now. sure do make em easy to find and destroy
