3 DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER

In Video: Russian Attack Helicopters Strike Militant Positions In Northern Hama

Support SouthFront

In the afternoon of March 21, two attack helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces stuck several positions and gatherings of radical militants in the town of al-Lataminah in the northern Hama countryside.

Syrian opposition activists said that Jaysh al-Izza militants opened fire at the two helicopter in an attempt to shoot them down. However, they failed.

Russian warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on militants’ positions in southern and northwestern Idlib earlier. However, this is the first time the Russian Aerospace Forces used attack helicopters against the militants since last September, when the demilitarized zone agreement was reached.

The Russian helicopters’ attack was likely a response to a recent militant shelling on the town of Shathah. The shelling led to material loses only, according to local sources.

The Russian Aerospace Forces could launch similar attacks in the upcoming few days in order to deter the militants, who are still willing to escalate the situation around the governorate of Idlib.

And at night they can test new Mi-28NM…

Wolfgang Wolf

wanna risk another “bird strike”?)))))

Astar Roth

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Justin

i agree that they would be too scared to test them, however, i dont think it would be smart to do so anyway. If the F-35 works or not, why test such a weapon out for a small proxy war! Only in a full scale was would u test an F-35 against a s-300

But i would not be surprised if little testing is done! just a little sneak past to see if they were detected or not! Anyway, people like u and i will never know!

goingbrokes

The testing is never reliable in this kind of proxy war. Let’s say the Russian radar sees the F35 coming all the way, but they never respond because they want to keep the yanks and the israelis guessing. Uncertainty is a tool to use against the other side, and it’s cheap.

Jens Holm

It wont happend like that at all. Who says they will not even use a single F35 to knock those batteries out. Israel do have big missiles and maybee other things.

If I was a desperate Israelian, I would send all jets, mssiles and drones against those S300 and 400 at the same time.

By that they might loose many, but they could not reload and the Israeleian mainpart would destroy what was on the ground.

You also have another desperation. Hard attacked or re-attacked, they might make Damaskus and enviroment to a lake as it once was.

Jens Holm

At least a comment making sense. People here even expect they will send blindfolded pilots out even more stupid in warfare then themselves.

Jens Holm

Its very good. Do You want even more war there. This is about real people where You cant just start all over againg by control alt delete.

Wolfgang Wolf

if i was commander of the RUS forces, i would fck them night and day…..

Justin

its a slow and methodical kill spree! They gather intel and hit targets! eventually they will destroy their ammunition depot and weapons storage plus hit high value targets! I think they can take their sweet time now! Save as many SAA lives from a head on attack by just destroying the enemies morale! Sabotage and espionage would be the new order of the day! I think in russia’s mind, this is better than a rush attack! They are killing their morale and they will turn on each other as some opt out, some collude and some vie for the spoils a check point (taxes). This war is already over!

Jens Holm

That version make sense to me too.

Jens Holm

That never will be allowed by USA as well as others.

Some say the S300 and 400 are made of plastic, because the russians are afraid of the Syrian handling :)
