On June 25, RusVesna.SU released footage of recent Russian airstrikes on ISIS cells’ positions in Syria’s central region.
According to the Russian news outlet, the pinpoint airstrikes targeted a network of ISIS positions, including a command post, a communication center and several ammunition depots, located in the outskirts of the town of Ithriyah in the eastern countryside of Hama.
The airstrikes were carried out by Su-24M front-line bombers and Ka-52 attack helicopters following a thorough reconnaissance operation with drones.
Russian warplanes carried out more than 60 airstrikes on ISIS cells in central Syria over the last few days, per the London-based Observatory for Human Rights. The terrorist group’s losses are yet to be revealed.
Despite facing much pressure from the Syrian Arab Army and its allies, ISIS cells continue to launch attacks in different parts of central Syria.
At least 19 pro-government fighters were killed or injured in two recent attacks by the terrorist group in eastern Homs and eastern Hama.
