Between July 10 and 13, Russia’s Rubicon drone unit targeted several trains moving supplies for Kiev forces in the Donetsk direction.
The trains were all targeted with FPV suicide drones as they were approaching a key station near the settlement of Belozerskoye, which is located some 27 kilometers away from the frontline in Donetsk. The drones used in the attacks were not guided via fiber-optic cables, but rather relied on a radio data-link. Still, Ukrainian electronic warfare failed to neutralize them. Rubicon shared footage of the attacks on July 17.
Kiev forces continue to rely on trains to move troops, equipment and all sorts of supplies to Donetsk and several other directions.
The Russian military targeted many Ukrainian military trains in the past, but it previously used weapons like tactical ballistic missiles and glide bombs. The latest attacks by Rubicon were the first case of such trains being targeted by FPV suicide drones.
While these drones are typically armed with light warheads, they were still able to inflict enough damage to derail the trains or even damage them beyond repair.
The Russian military expanded the use of FPV suicide drones in a significant way over the past year, especially the types guided via fiber-optic cables which are completely immune to electronic warfare means.
According to recent reports, the Russian military is using hundreds of such drones everyday, with some sources even reporting as many as 1,000 attacks a day. The range of these drones have already reached 20-30 kilometers. Work is said to be ongoing on new types with a range of up to 50 kilometers.

the day will come when russia returns crimea to its rightful owners, the ukrainians.
the rightful owner of crimea from the very beginning is russia. you probably meant returning the stolen kosovo back to serbia.
please post more you are very funny😂😂😂
drones are changing the battle order of modern warfare and consequently the importance of anti-drone technology where russia maintains the edge. railways have been important to ukraines military strategies, trains should all be priority targets.
no supplies , no people , no war . even nato puppets know this
i’ve got an idea- blow up the rail bridges crossing the dneiper? nah, that would make too much sense.
