The Russian Missile Troops and Artillery continue to inflict heavy losses on Kiev forces across the frontline in the Donbass region.
On April 30, Russian sources shared a video showing a strike with Soviet-made BM-27 Uragan heavy multiple rocket launcher systems (MRLS) on a large gathering of Ukrainian troops and military equipment that was preparing to attack Russian forces on Izium front.
The gathering was discovered with a drone, which was likely also used to coordinate the rocket strike. As a result of the strike, the entire gathering was reportedly neutralized.
The Uragan MRLS can fire high explosive fragmentation, cluster or mine laying rockets. The effective firing range of the MRLS is 35 kilometers. However, it can reach a maximum firing range of around 90 kilometers. Hundreds of BM-27 are in service with the Russian military.
According to the most recent briefing by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian missile troops struck four Ukrainian military sites overnight on April 30, including two command centers, a MRLS battery and a radar.
At the same time, artillery troops struck 389 Ukrainian military sites, including 35 command centers, 41 strongholds, 169 gatherings of manpower and military equipment, 33 artillery positions and 15 ammunition depots.
The Russian Missile Troops and Artillery have been playing a crucial role in the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. In the last few weeks, Kiev forces sustained heavy human and material losses as a result of Russian missile and artillery strikes.

Im getting the impression that Russian missiles have large CEPs as against mobile or at rest targets. It seems the camera always switches away when the rocket hits. If, Russian infantry and tanks are easily getting bogged down and Russian rockets are not that accurate, then this does not bode well for the Russian operation.
I have noticed the same. Not much credibility in those videos, either published by Ukrainians or Russians. One of the bitter lessons Russians are now learning is that warfare is not near as easy victorious spectacle as they have been brainwashed to think. Even their victorious Great Patriotic War was full of military blunders and terrible losses even in latter 1944-45 period. Even when winning they always took terrible losses and learn so slowly and then forget those bitter losses too fast.
