In Video: Russian Kh-101 Stealth Cruise Missile Dodges Ukrainian Air Defenses

On December 30, a video showing a Russian Kh-101 stealth subsonic cruise missile dodging Ukrainian air defenses surfaced online.

The missile was one of dozens launched during a large-scale attack by the Russian military on high-value military targets and key facilities across Ukraine a day earlier.

In the video, an anti-aircraft missile, most likely a man-portable air-defense system, can be seen passing right past the Kh-101 without exploding. The missile may have failed to exploded due to the very low infrared signature of the Kh-101, or because the proximity fuse of its warhead was jammed by the missile.

The Kh-101, which was developed by MKB Raduga, has a range of 4500–5500 kilometers and a variable flight profile at altitudes ranging from 30-70 meters to 6000 meters with a cruising speed of 190-200 meters per second and a maximum speed of 250-270 meters per second.

The missile is guided by a GLONASS-aided inertial navigation system. It is reportedly re-targetable, and can be also equipped with a radar or optical seeker for enhanced terminal guidance.

The Kh-101 is armed with a 400–450 kg conventional warhead. A nuclear armed version of the missile, dubbed the Kh-102, was also developed. Both versions can be launched from the Tu-160 strategic bomber as well as from the Tu-95MS and Tu-95MSM cruise missiles carriers.

The Kh-101 stealth, long-range and high-precision makes it the perfect weapon to strike high-value targets in well-protected areas. The Russian military has been using the Kh-101 and other types of cruise missiles to hit such targets since the start of its special operation in Ukraine with much success.

The stinger was launched too close to the KH-101 cruise missile, as clearly can be seen by the stingers’ engine still firing.

It failed to detonate because it had not armed itself yet from being too close.

Yawnnnnnnyawnnnnnn

Gyre07

The stinger was clearly maneuvering to get close enough but it just wasn’t able to adapt it’s flight path quickly enough, so I doubt your theory. The KH-101 defeated it period.

The eugenicists and their crimes against humanity crew of doctor mengeles are going to be gathered together soon to continue their evil plans to kill more humans and speed up the depopulation. Russia is probably the one nation that can stop this.

REAL War is not over in 10 minutes like Call of Duty. You know NOTHING about the outside world. Young, inexperienced kid.

Sionist Slaves of America

Keep up the good work. The level of desperation among Goyim slaves in the US and NATO keeps hitting new highs, it’s so much fun to watch. Zelenskyy is doing Iran such a great favor. Soon the Mullahs will have nukes and will be as untouchable as Russia.

you write anything. A missile cannot both travel at almost 200 meters per second and be subsonic

Good Grief

Speed of sound is over 300 m/sec, Einstein.

Last I heard, 200<300 and subsonic does not mean the sound a submarine makes.

Yes. I agree and apolozise. I did a big mistake, lol..

Disinfo

Like all Man Pads, they need to be fired at their optimum firing solution. Generally, the best way to use them is a triangulation, meaning you have 3 separate teams firing from 3 different locations which cuts down on the escape angles of the target. Even though thousands have been given to and wasted by the untrained Ukrainians, few have actually hit home.

Nato is really beeing exposed in this ukraine conflict, their aa is not only extremely expensive but also ineffective.

non-nato allies must be running for the hills after beeing told that the answer to a 200$k Patriot missile failing to engage the incoming target is fireing two and praying the second one hits.

It’s ridiculous, but really becomes laughable when Geran 2 drones come in swarms of 50+ and cost a thenth of the price at most.

No wonder BRICS and SCO are seeing so many applicants.
