The Russian military has successfully struck yet another Soviet-made S-300PS long-range air defense system of Kiev forces, this time in the Odessa region.
Video footage of the strike against the air defense system, which was deployed close to the settlement of Ilyichevsk, was posted to social media on April 11. The footage shows what appears to be a precision-guided missile destroying the system’s 5N63S fire control radar, one transporter erector launcher (TEL), of the 5P85D or the 5P85S type, and damaging another TEL.
In addition, Russian media reported that some 20 Ukrainian officers and soldiers were killed in the pinpoint strike that destroyed the system.
Ukraine had around 100 S-300P, S-300PT, S-300PS and S-300V1 batteries in service prior to the start of the Russian special military operation. The country received a single S-300PMU battery from Slovakia in the very first few months of the operation.
Many of these systems have been destroyed, damaged or captured by the Russian military since the start of the operation.
In fact, this was the second S-300 system to be destroyed by the Russian military in less than a week. The first system, which was deployed near the city of Apostolovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, was of the S-300V type.

there will be many more s300’s getting blown to bits now that there is almost no more energy plants left to destroy.
the better question is why ukros still have so many s300 left after 2,5 years of war?
cause russia stumbled into this war unprepared and started collecting intel once the war begin. they thought they could just push ukraine by moving a army to their border or just into kiev not that they actually have to fight. and i think it is possible that some of these assets are tempraryly stored away save in poland or romania before beeing used.
the general admitted that they expected the ukrainians to turn the coup against their leadership. they didn’t know that the usa and germany had secretly armed ukraine already in 2012. the equipment was not suitable for war because no one expected resistance. the usa had promised to secretly support ukraine and that’s why they resisted.
yes but this is a critical failure of the russian secret services. i did not follow the russian news if any heads did role or any significant change was made to the secret services afterwards. but that should have happened.
only amerikan moron believes this
they hide them in hospitals
konečne sa už zamerali aj na hroby, ktoré tieto systémy predstavovali pre ruské vzdušné sily. svetu mier!!!
we have seen in the past how western weapon modells had killswitches in case of beeing used against the west. the russians should have done the same to their systems.
i worship money—please send me dollar with gay used condom
