In Video: Russian Reinforcements Pass Through U.S. Checkpoint In Northeast Syria

Support SouthFront

Fresh Russian reinforcements were deployed on January 17 in the key town of Tell Tamr in the northern countryside of Syria’s al-Hasakah.

A video released by the North Press Agency (NPA) shows the reinforcements, which consisted of armored vehicles and trucks, passing through a checkpoint set up by U.S. forces near Tell Tamr.

U.S. and Russian forces made several similar contacts in northeast Syria in the last few months. Despite the lack of sufficient coordination, no accidents have been reported yet.

Earlier this week, a Russian convoy arrived in the city of Qamishli, to the northeast of Tell Tamr. The large convoy transported troops, weapons and equipment, which reinforced a Russian base near the city.

Russian forces were deployed in northeast Syria last October following a Turkish-led attack on U.S.-backed Kurdish forces in the region. These forces, mainly from the Russian Military Police, are now implementing a Russian-Turkish de-escalation agreement.

TORKI OP #8 STRONK

Would love to see the BTR-82 30mm AP rounds turn those MRAP into mush at such a close range :)

FlorianGeyer

I was thinking the same,lol.

John Wallace

Yes the Yanks must have been thinking .. oops his ( 30mm ) is much bigger than mine. They must have been impressed with the BTR not being the crap they told the Russians have.

AM Hants

Laughing, as you see one truck, showing the US flag, in a nation they are not invited to, posing as a check point. Can you imagine the young squaddie, whose job it would have been to turn the Russians away, actually trying?

Harry Smith

I think it depends on what kind of unit was there. If ordinary US army infantry of marines they could piss their pants, just a little. If it was any of SF unit like rangers or seals, those are psychologically trained guys so it was just an ordinary moment of their deployment. I won’t wonder if they even did some selfies with BTRs in background.

FlorianGeyer

‘Guarding’ Syrian oil for the USA is a tough job, AM :)

Another topic, but this will interest you. I came across it whilst I was looking for Tony Blair’s conviction for Cottaging in the late 70’s.

Its a comprehensive account of state child abuse. The people and the power that they wielded, and still do.

https://globalnoncompliance.webnode.com/news/tony-blairs-islington-people-disturbing-information-about-new-labour-uk-/

AM Hants

Wow and thanks for the link.

FlorianGeyer

I thought you would enjoy it. We have the same taste :)

AM Hants

The fact they get away with so much is beyond sick

Vitex

The NZ government sent a judge to investigate paedophiles at the house of Lords. Needless to say she was sent back with a flea in her ear (and a golden handshake).

AM Hants

My first thought, when seeing a title, is to believe they are part of a certain club and wonder why they have so much power, owing to their seriously sick lifestyles. Whether they be from the political or entertainment branch of the Lords.

Vitex

Well the House of Lords seems to be dominated by a certain non-English ethnic group

FlorianGeyer

This is the result of the complete infiltration in all facet’s of British political and commercial life by a very large degenerate cabal who are all hooked by their sins into the ‘Common Purpose’ project.

This dire situation has always been present of course, and is it the scale of the cabals abuse that has increased, or just our awareness to the odious actions of all to many who have this malign power and influence over every aspect of British citizens lives from inception to the grave (or furnace)?

AM Hants

I remember watching ‘Johny Go Home’, owing to being bored at a family party and a young teenager at the time. Where I lived, the train service used the Euston line, so besides the contents of the documentary, the fact that it was what I considered the local station, that ‘The Bishop’ was using, to pick up the homeless children and force them into the ‘rent boy’ industry, freaked me out.

A few years later, owing to being a ‘Glitter Band’ and ‘Chelsea FC’ fan/supporter, I went to see Gary Glitter, following watching a match at Chelsea. Wasn’t a fan of his, but, did like the ‘Glitter Band’. For some reason, which I remember well, I missed my last train home. Imagine a 16 year old, with Chelsea blue, long, over the knee, knitted leg warmers, with a funny face and plaits, covering the knees, together with as much glitter as you would find in Hamleys at Christmas, sitting in Euston station, about 1 in the morning, waiting for her parents to come and collect her and stuck in the middle of the local tramps. My mum had never seen me so happy to see her, whilst laughing at how there was no way anybody was going to get anywhere near me. So glad I watched the documentary haha. The irony, of going to see Gary Glitter, who had not been outed at the time, is not lost, with regards the story.

FlorianGeyer

Those were the days :) Were you an Abba fan as well?

I have never been to a football match myself,AM, and am not a Team Game enthusiast really. I shunned sports at schools I attended. At a very young age I learned that most adults are mentally weak and that just saying NO to a teacher knocked them off ballance :) No arguments needed, just a ‘No I Will NOT ‘ sufficed.

Your experience at the station must have been very uncomfortable at the time. Its fortunate that circumstances then were not as bad as they are now though.

AM Hants

I am not a footie fan, but, it was a case of teenage hormones and Butch Wilkins haha.

Although I was not comfortable hanging around Euston, waiting for my parents at 1 in the morning, I was a very arrogant and cocky teenager, with attitude when needed. So could handle it. Lived about a 90 minute drive away. Sports wise, loved gymnastics and long and high jump, but, had no interest in the rest.

Owing to your horse riding, assumed you would have enjoyed sports at school, but understand why not. Liked ABBA, but, heavily into Slade and the Glitter and. Latter owing to pure hormones haha. Got me into a lot of trouble when young, but, loads of fun

FlorianGeyer

I could never understand the attraction of running around on field with others in the rain. However I have been known to climb solo to the top of the odd Mountain in Wales during Mid Winter for the night without a tent . On one occasion the mountain rescue were on their way up during a training exercise about an hour or two after dawn in the light snow, when they passed me on the way down :)

AM Hants

You sound like my son, but, he also loves footie, as well as spending nights on the mountains. A few months ago, he went for a stroll and ended up on top of Helvellyn. Three professional mountain climbers, wearing all the gear, looked at him thinking ‘idiot’. Yet they got lost and ended up with him driving them back in the complete opposite direction that they found themselves in. Must admit, it did make me laugh.

FlorianGeyer

I lead a group of recruits to the top of Helvellyn sometime in the 80’s. It was in Summer and as we reached the top a female sgt tripped and badly sprained her ankle. We camped there for the night as planned. We made a makeshift stretcher the next morning but it was rather awkward going down the path to the RV with the 4 tonner. The only way was for me to carry her down, as I was the strongest. It was a hard slog, especially the ‘steps’.

The 4 tonner broke down on the way back and a breakdown truck came to us from Catterick. Luckily they could fix the truck.

The sgt gave me a puppy as a thank you :)

AM Hants

Memorable. Did you want a puppy? Bet you all cursed the Sgt? You must have had quite a wait, for them to reach you from Catterick?

My grandson, just before he was one could climb the stairs before he could walk and have some lovely photos of him at the top of one of the peaks a couple of days after he learnt to climb the stairs. Do wonder if he will grow up to love climbing. He seriously loves being outside and his dad was the same.

FlorianGeyer

It took 3 or 4 hrs to arrive if I remember correctly and about another hour to sort the problem out. Luckily there were a few ration packs left. It was a very long day though.

A dog I was also given as a puppy at about the age of 18 ish had died a year or so earlier, so new the puppy was welcome :) She was brilliant with me but very jealous. :) Both were Labrador/German Shepherd crosses.

AM Hants

Cute dogs. My son has got a labbie, who is 8 months now and loves going up the peaks with him.

Hope it was summer and not winter, when it happened. All because of a sprain injury.

FlorianGeyer

It was Summer. I would not have taken them up there in Winter. Some would have coped, but not all.

AM Hants

If it is going to happen, at least you hit the right season.

d'Artagnan

It also begs the question why the illegal US occupation forces are allowed to stay in Syria and have not faced IEDs and ATGM. It is time for serious resistance against US and NATO occupation forces which are spread thin in penny pockets in very vulnerable vehicles and positions. The topography and geography of Northeastern Syria bordering Iraq and Turkey is suited for asymmetrical warfare.

verner

what can the morons do, isolated far from hot dogs, mcdonalds and the safety of vast aerial superiority – nothing like that in syria for the graveyard stuffing imbeciles from the fly over states – guess they really should have chosen the other available occupation for the under-educated dumb assholes from the fly over states, meth-amphetamine production, better 10 to 20 years in a federal penitentiary than body bagged home from a dusty end of the road in syria on behalf of the deep state/military/financial industrial complex.

the veterans better do something quick – a humongous demonstration in washington might just set things right in washington but if I remember correctly, the entirely useless obama promised a lot and delivered a lot of nothing just like trump is about to do. still expect the 80m$ bounty on trump’s head will deliver him to the lit de parade and melania walking off into the sunset counting the dosh

John Wallace

Talking of hotdogs , have you seen the ISIS mufti the Iraqis captured on RT https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6171b8c3fb3d038333f52a4b0e346fb684cb81d69fa87072911fdb176be655df.jpg . Had to get a flatbed truck to cart him.

good american

Hmmm….He could be a clever suicide bomber in a fat suit.

rightiswrong rightiswrong

He’s a cannibal ffs, ISIS will eat anything.

John Wallace

Well he now eat himself which should keep him going for years on that buildup.

rightiswrong rightiswrong

He should be set alight, he’d burn as a torch for days.

He probably did it himself to many of his victims.

John Wallace

With that amount of fat he could keep the fires of Auschwitz going for a month..

John Wallace

Imagine that running towards you in slow motion. The fat going up and down as he ran until the kinetic energy of it drove him down into the ground where he would explode safely and no one would be covered in pieces of blubber. What a thought.

Mike

I wonder why he did not run away?

John Wallace

He couldn’t even waddle let alone run. If he ran it would register as earthquakes ..

Mike

I was being sarcastic.

Vitex

They have bariatric ambulances these days for such people

Aleks Chernyy

Looks like maybe a motorized infantry platoon or two.

<>

Just when I thought it can’t get any weirder..

John Wallace

Wait until they form joint patrols singing and dancing together and off to the Tavern.

good american

Wayne Nicholson

Nothing weird about it. The Russians are professionals …. they’re there to do their job, not “guard the oil”. It’s the yanks who get bent out of shape, panic, and call in $50 million dollar air strikes when they see a few farmers trying to return to their fields at night then claim it was a mechanized battalion of elite Russians

SIM

What is that black jeep in front of BTR ??

d'Artagnan

It is the GAZ Tigr (Russian: Тигр and English: Tiger) is a Russian 4×4, multipurpose, all-terrain infantry mobility vehicle manufactured by GAZ, first delivered to the Russian Army in 2006. Primarily used by the Russian Federation’s armed forces, it is also used by numerous other countries.

It comes in different military and civilian variants. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/dfa87d241c29af150da68cb1554f37bcec7f38cc75744deeffc798fbcee3906b.jpg

1. I saw some of those big Kamaz trucks (cab overs) in Moscow and it was amazing how quiet they were. From that, I believe they are very modern and we’ll designed trucks.

2. I’m wondering what those antenna arrays are on the lead and trailing vehicles. I assume they are cell jammers to keep IEDs from remotely detonating. Does anyone know?

PZIVJ

This may be a newer version of the RP-377 jammer. Pictured here in 2017 with a mine clearance unit. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/31c7bded3844bf5aedd1cb8b57de98000e5da831e528808db5635e4b4f82bac7.jpg

occupybacon

Those gas look shitty but the bmp’s look badass

ColinNZ

It is a sad and damning reflection of the UN and International Law that this was a second attempt by legitimate (invited by Syria) Russian forces to travel to a location in Syria as co-ordinated with the legitimate Syrian government and legitimate authorities at that location. A second attempt because they were earlier prevented from doing so by illegal US occupation forces who are there in contravention of UN resolutions (with regard to Syria’s sovereignty, Syria being a sovereign member nation of the UN), the UN Charter itself AND International Law. And yet the UN and International Law ‘enforcers’ are powerless to even criticise the illegal warmongering US activities, let alone stop them. Shameful indeed.

Assad must stay

im hoping the UN will eventually be completely dissolved and replaced by something much more efficient, or at least just dissolved

Ronald

The UN was incorporated by Rockefeller, so yes it is an American ‘instrument’. Still it does encourage diplomacy over war, so it is useful until a “New League of Nations” in a neutral location such as Switzerland is created..

d'Artagnan

UN was a Anglosphere creation post WW2 as to continue to perpetuate Anglo-American economic, political and strategic dominance and now is totally out of sink with global power balance or demographics as the world most populous state India poised to be the second largest economy is not even a permanent member of the Security Council along with Indonesia slated to be 4th largest economy, while small basketcases like UK and France yield disproportionate influence.

Assad must stay

that would probably happen after the next major war

Z.P.

I do not agree. League of Nations has been replaced by UN. Simply because it has stopped to function. Now we have the same situation with UN more or less. New organization will not change thing. The problem is not in institutions but in Western criminals who block and corrupt everything. UN must be removed from US at least in some more neutral country. And organizational changes must be made that voice of smaller oppressed countries can be herd better.

palegreendot

Perhaps one day, the American flag won’t represent imperialism and support for Islamic terrorism. As an American, I’m not holding my breath for that day.

It is great to see the Russian flag, flying proud, supporting secular Syria and International Law.

Assad must stay

me too, i cannot stand what this country (america) has become

d'Artagnan

It was always a very evil, corrupt and shallow place just covered up by Hollywood and corporate Zionist media lies, that bodyguard of lies does not wash anymore.

Assad must stay

yes and with no culture to speak of, the only thing that comes to mind is the worship of money, sex, and fame/celebrities

d'Artagnan

US is an extension of the worst elements of UK, which still more or less is the devious brains behind the WASP and Jew power-brokers. US was founded on lies, deceit, broken treaties, bluster, holocaust of the native population, slavery, racism and exploitation, and the has gotten worse as its socio-economic and global influence wanes. The US “system” by its very insidious nature is predatory and victimizes the most vulnerable. Average “American” is ignorant, greedy, selfish, shallow and lacks even the most basic moral compass.

Assad must stay

you nailed it!

Z.P.

Only after collapse of the dollar when US becomes smaller regional power. US will stop to terrorize others only when penniless. US are nation incapable of living in peace. Your country is terrorizing planet with wars for century already without US population opposing any of it at exception of Vietnam war only.

Harry Smith

It’s not about nation, but it’s elites. Like d’Artagnan said, USA society is just a hologram of UK society. It’s highly hierarchical with limited possibilities for middle and low class representatives to became part of the ruling elites. You can name it WASP, AIPAC or whatever. But in fact it’s just Ivory league.

Z.P.

There is time and place when things must be called with right name. We can not speak forever about anonymous super rich elites as only culprits while excusing ordinary Americans coming with the weapons in their hands to kill people in foreign countries (including women and children) without ever being punished sufficiently for their evil crimes. Those Americans have their names and their hands are covered with innocent blood in countries they occupy. They deserve to die just like they have come to kill.

US as country is by far the biggest global terrorist country on this planet. Country that deserves to be punished in any way possible for the endless list of their evil crimes.

wwinsti

The abuse will continue until sovereign nations of the world stop recognizing the US gov. and deal US citizens directly. And you know what I mean by “deal with”.

Z.P.

Complacency because of empty moralizing while everything continues as usual. Banal lip service about ‘injustice’ will not do any longer. We all must endorse our responsibilities in life and stand the ground for what we have chosen. Endless posturing without action is senseless.

Raptar Driver

This just proves the current Russian government is in bed with Washington.

Lonesome Cowboy Burt

Oh, does it now? Yeah, for those in the IQ below 70 camp, you may be “correct”. lol

Raptar Driver

Who backs down when told to? Didn’t you read how the Russians retreated when the Americans wouldn’t let them pass wrangler boy?

Z.P.

I thought you were ironic, but you are not?!! How can you say such nonsense?!? In bed how? What was for US to gain by giving up control on the border region populated by Kurds?! That is the only region where Kurds are majority
