The official sources of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared a video of destruction of the Russian infantry combat vehicle BMP-2M. The location was not revealed.
The vehicles was detected by the Ukrainian UAV. Ukrainian forces fired at the vehicle with various ammunition, including ATGMs and RPGs. Even after the BMP-2 was stopped, the Russian crew engaged in a deadly battle. Russian servicemen fought to the last shell. The Russian BMP-2 was destroyed.

My guess is, this unit was likely lost contact with command some time prior, which led them to decide to hold their assigned front line position while other nearby units were already retreating.
Comms then re-established, realized much later than others about the retreat, thus pedal-to-the-metal. You don’t sit on armor vehicles expecting a firefight during course.
Ukies comms intercepted the chatter, sent UAV to find this unit along expected route. Unit found, nearby ukies got radioed to close in and set ambush position.
They got encircled, ambushed, and destroyed.
IIRC, Chechen commander said last week that comms are bad, amongst other things. Probably has some truth in that.
