The Humvee crew inspecting the truck spotted a tank, they went back to the Humvee and were trying to leave when the tank fired and hit the Humvee. What most likely took place was the tank fired an HEAT round armor pierce type ammunition. It looks like it simply went through the Humvee and detonated on the far side. The passenger door has been torn off its hinges. So this is my guess. In addition the smoke from the explosion in the back ground. It is possible that a smaller portion of the round hit the car from the shell as well. cant really say, the sparks from your lighting a cig are hot chunks of metal moving above the speed of sound.
We do not see the aftermath but very possible the drivers lower torso is still in the seat but his upper half is missing? I would think that gunner also ran his last 100 meters at least on natural legs. But then again thats just a guess.
