The commander of a tank company of the Russian Armed Forces described ‘the battles’ against the AFU near Kamenka in the Kharkiv region.

Everyone was glad that they did not have to fire and people just surrendered, because they saw us, they saw our tanks, they saw our equipment and they did not want to fight with us anymore.”

In any military conflict, it should be noted that using the highest quality gear does not always mean successful results. In the case of this conflict, Russia has a massive stockpile of older weapons that are at their disposal. At present, the Russian advance appears to be slow and methodical. They have lots of ground to cover, and will have to ensure supy lines are established and protected. This must be done in addition to mopping up their rear lines and preventing partisan operations by Ukrainian aligned factions. Using advanced technology in this stage of the war is not beneficial as the likelihood of losses of expensive equipment and potential seizing by Western Forces are not in Russias interests. Furthermore, a majority of Russia crews are trained on these older weapons systems, send as such, would be more efficient using their tried and tested weapons of war.

They desperately need more drones, they should be building those by the thousands. Suicide drones (like the US switchblade) and armed drones (like the Turkish Bayraktar) are much much cheaper than a missile and can be much more effective finding enemy tanks and artillery with some artificial vision.
With a lot of drones the RAF could have avoided the early ambushes and losses with the reconnaissance teams and could have minimized losses (both RAF and civilian) in Mariupol as drones can also be used for anti-personnel actions. Instead of pulverizing an entire building with shelling, a drone could target specific militant positions.
I don’t get the slow uptake in drones. Mass produced the cost of a drone is a tiny fraction of the cost of a soldier (just in terms of training and equipment, let alone life).
I wonder how effective drone warfare is when there is electronic warfare being used on the battle field. Russia seems to be using a lot of conventional warfare and older equipment for some reason.
Could it be that Russia should probably use this practical opportunity to develop their ew capabilities in what has become a testing ground of NATO capabilites? Recall WW2, the sides that won the war didn’t have the best tanks that were over-engineered. In war time a machine that works well even with a lot of damage is a good machine.

Majority of Russian casualty in Ukraine is due to Ukrainian army ambush i.e Ukrainian army waiting in residential area for Russian tank columns to arrive by road and start firing western supplied ATGMs at Russian tank column, this spread panic and Russian tank column retreat with a few Russian soldiers dead.
Russia should develop a mobile system that when inserted in between tank columns will continue to scan for source of ATGM fire and fire 2 counter missiles. One to intercept and destroy the ATGM missile and another to destroy the source of fire i.e the personnel firing the ATGM. System like this will have protected Russian tank column from western ATGMs and save a lot of Russian soldiers life.
But this isn’t an all in world war where women are working in factories, it’s an army of professional soldiers conducting a military operation. Such men cost money to train and maintain. They require the best equipment for survivability, so that they will perform their tasks confidently. Once they have seen a few cook offs they will abandon their equipment.

The Russian troops morale and tactics have rapidly improved since his appointment at the sole chief commander of operation Z. The Russian soldiers are showing their respect to General Dvornikov by flying the proud Soviet banner on their vehicles.
A career military officer, he has risen steadily through the ranks since starting as a platoon commander in 1982 Afghanistan conflict. He fought during the second war in Chechnya and took several top positions before being placed in charge of the Russian troops in Syria. He also has very close ties to Syrian, Iranian and Algerian militaries, all close allies of Russia and was responsible for Russian military joint operations with Hezbollah against US supported Wahhabi terrorists and ISIS.
The Russian military is now geared for a major operation east of the Dnieper River and complete encirclement of desperate UAF and Nazis. Russian military industrial complex has also ramped up weapons production as it shifts into a total war mode. The advent of new and more sophisticated Russian systems is having a deadly impact on the collapsing UAF. If they wanted to advance fast and did not care about civilian casualties, they could have won the war in one or two days by turning Kiev into a pile of rubble and cutting off all weapons coming from US-NATO. They could have done to Kiev what the US military has done to many cities.
People often don’t see strategy being followed. Sometimes it is only strategy to slow down or even retreat to lure your opponent into a trap. Zelenisky thinks he can win because Russia withdrew from Kiev and is only advancing slowly in the east. He is throwing his remaining conscripts into a trap he is not seeing. Russian forces are about to encircle them and swallow a huge part of the territory while at it. They will cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea and probably take more land, including Kiev. Russia literally has thousands of T-72’s, of the “modernized” B3 variant. They have a very small number of T-14 Armata tanks, which are new and expensive to produce. The T-72 is a reliable, well proven machine. It is getting the job done. Russians are pragmatic, and work with a tiny $70bn a year in defense spending. They have to choose wisely where to spend that money, unlike the U.S. which spends $1tn a year for garbage like the F-35.
T-72B3 – same chassis but with rebuilds – a big difference in engine horsepower, targeting and optics, and fire control systems.
Russia is using thousands of T-72B3 tanks which is a modern design. Those are from 2011 and 2016. The US still uses M1A2 Abrams which is from 1990. So stfu.
Why use that equipment at all? He is using 150,000 against 15 million ukrainians (750k FT soldier, 2 mill PT soldiers, 12 million aged between 18 and 60)

Russia needs to completely destroy all Ukrainian civilian and military infrastructure. Hopefully, General Dvornikov will apply a more robust firepower and force application to ground and air operations based on his extensive combat experience dating back to a company commander in Afghanistan.
The decision to establish new battlefield leadership in Ukraine comes as Russia gears up for what is expected to be a large and more focused push to expand Russian control in the Donbas region, and steady destruction of NATO supplied and led UAF and its NAZI components.
In Syria, General Dvornikov quickly established an airbase near the north-west coast, from where bombers obliterated towns and cities across Idlib province. The fall of Syria’s second city, Aleppo, was substantially due to Russian airstrikes, which were flown from the Hmeimim base and established quick air and operational theater superiority.

Can you explain why the Russians have not cut off the weapons supply routes where they enter Western Ukraine? Is NATO mingling weapons on general civilian supply trains or truck convoys? Could there be other tactical reasons to let these shipments through? It’s not like NATO is making a secret of what they are doing.
There’s been at least some documented cases where they used red cross trucks to smuggle weapons in but this probably doesn’t account for all of the weapons. For all we know good portions ARE being tracked and destroyed. I mean Russia destroys weapon storage facilities on a daily basis so clearly a portion of it is lost. It’s impossible to know the full extent of whats going on unless you are literally the individual in charge of sending the shipments.

I think that the Russians are allowing the supply of weaponry to enter Ukraine in order to deplete nato stocks. They can easily track and neutralize a lot of the weapons once they are deeper inside the country. We already see reports of the British military running out of key weapons platforms because they have been transferred towards Ukraine. If Russia can use it’s reserves of tier 2 tanks and weapons to destroy NATOs stockpile and grind them down, then the actual tier 1 tanks and weapons platforms can be held in case of actual direct confrontation with NATO. Then they are in a situation where they are advancing with advanced weaponry against a depleted nato defense. It will take some time for the western military industrial complex to resupply especially in this time of broken supply chains. If Taiwan escalates, then the majority of the worlds chip production stops. Those are needed for advanced missiles and other weapons platforms.

Ukraine as you well understand is a large country in landmass, more than half a million sq kms and initial Russian operation as I and many other seasoned military and intelligence observers have stated was based on overly optimistic faulty GRU and SVR reports. Perhaps, deliberately faulty in order to undermine President Putin and Russian ultra nationalists in the military. Since 1992, the CIA and western intelligence agencies had penetrated every segment of Russian government and society, mostly through Jew oligarchs and traitors. Only since the beginning of last year have Russian counter-intelligence with support from China and Iran have started rooting out the traitors. There are confirmed report that General Vornikov flew to Tehran and Beijing to exchange views and tactics with his counterparts. It is also interesting to note that Ayatollah Khomenei in an unusual step, completely blamed US warmongering evil and NATO lapdogs for their war against Russia. He used unusually harsh language against NATO criminals on his Friday Ramadan speech. Not surprisingly, the Chinese followed through with a similar statement within hours accurately accusing the US meddling and arming of terrorists and Nazis in Ukraine.
The weapons are being shipped primarily from Poland, Slovakia and to a lesser extent from Romania. These are all NATO members and US vassals, so targeting the supplies directly with strikes on NATO terrorist bases will cause a wider conflict, which is not in Russian interest at this stage. Russian strategy now as I had suggested is to dig in, take advantage of spring and summer hard ground and disperse armored backed by specialized infantry all over eastern Ukraine (as they doing) and use extensive artillery and airpower to neutralize UAF Nazis. The increasing use of drones which Iran has been successfully doing to hit US bases all over the Middle east is an excellent tactic of plausible deniability and now being introduced in Ukraine. Drones are now taking out large chunks of NATO supplies and terrorists as they enter western Ukraine. Russian satellite positioning has also now been changed to focus on Central Europe and they know exactly when and where NATO arms are coming from. So far 300 tanks and about 400 APC have been transferred to UAF, but now with Russians dug in and control of the skies, these can not move in large numbers or will be destroyed. Another problem for Ukraine is that it has no fuel left and transporting POL from NATO states only invites airstrikes. There are also now Russian Spetsnaz and allied Ukrainian ethnic Russian teams operating in western Ukraine. Russia now has excellent HUMINT and ELINT all over Ukraine and Russian casualties are literally down to zero. No Russian helicopter or air craft has been lost in over 20 days now. Russia has lost half a dozen tanks and transports in the last 2 weeks, while UAF losses are in hundreds. The UAF and NAZIS can not even operate at a platoon level now as they face drones and low flying KA-52 and SU-25 strikes as ample videos have shown. Russian airpower is formidable and the pilots and tactics excellent.
The UAF is basically crippled as can not even move a truck without being hit or run of out fuel. In their own radio intercepts from Don Bas, the cut off UAF and Nazi terrorists are crying that they are “out of ammo”. So the deliberate Russian strategy with a new aggressive commander is called the “PYTHON” as it will strangle Ukraine and Russia will take its time. No amount of NATO weapons or terrorists can change the ground equation as Russia has not even deployed 10% of its combat capability and in mere 40 days has liberated an area the size of UK. The next logical step will be to take over Odessa and link up with Moldova. As they say in the grunt vernacular, “Ukraine is up shit creek” and nothing will save it. Its economy as even IMF has stated is 50% destroyed, 10 million or more internal and external refugees, not a single oil depot left and the UAF is scattered in penny pockets and Russia and its allies will pummel them in the spring and summer. Zelensky is a dead clown walking.
Super, thanks again. I was wondering why Spetznaz units weren’t taking action inside the western Uke borders, but then again, they wouldn’t exactly telegraph those moves. It has seemed obvious to me that no way can Russia settle for anything which leaves whatever is left of Ukraine with access to the Black Sea. So that includes Odessa all the way to Transnistra, where troops are already stationed, including that peninsula with Izmail. This will be a massive setback to NATO warmongers.
On another note, General Dvornikov’s friendship with Iranian generals forged on the battlefields of Syria is paying off as I had mentioned before. Iranian units are now actively involved in defending Russian airspace as a Bavar 373 which with compatible with S350 (super S-300) and Russians are familiar with all Iranian technology.
The US misinformation media is reporting that an Iranian-made Bavar 373 missile system, similar to the Russian S-300 long-range surface-to-air missile system, has been donated to Moscow by the authorities in Tehran.
Russia is receiving munitions and military hardware sourced from Iraq for its war effort in Ukraine, with the help of Iranian networks, the Guardian has reported. I can think of two reasons say for example to track say an s-300 system on rail from a foreign nation all the way to it’s destination before targeting it.
