A suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) exploded early on November 8 near a center of the so-called Syrian Military Police in the town of al-Rai in the Turkish-occupied part of northern Aleppo.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that at least three personnel of the Syrian Military Police were killed in the attack.
“There are information of other human losses,” the UK-based monitoring group’s report reads.
Syrian activists released a video showing the moment of the attack. The VBIED can be seen slowly approaching the entrance of the police center before detonating.
A day earlier, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in al-Rai’s town center destroyed a car and injuring several people. One of the victims is reportedly in a critical condition.
No group has claimed responsibility for the SVBIED attack, so far. However, ISIS is the only side known for conducting suicide attacks in Turkish-occupied areas.
