Hopefully it’s not sitting there all alone, in the current situation no AA systems should be operating on their own, 2 AA systems and a ground protective force are needed to be safe and effective now, AA systems operating without another AA system will be sitting ducks for any multiple drone attacks. The AA systems also have to stay out of range of Turkish artillery, and for the best Turkish artillery that means 100 km, and that’s going to make it hard if not impossible for some of Syria’s shorter range systems to stay out of their range. Long range Turkish artillery stationed on the Turkish side of the border can hit any targets they want to in Latakia, Idlib, most of Hama, and more than half of Aleppo, that means no AA systems will really be safe once they’ve used their radars, hopefully they move locations as soon as they fire their missiles, otherwise they could be in for a bit of a bombardment.
