Russian and Syrian navies held joint naval drills in the eastern Mediterranean Sea on December 19 as a part of the first joint drills involving the two countries that started on December 16. The drill involved Russian warships and aircraft, as well as missile gunboats and minesweepers of the Syrian Navy. Footage also shows emergency drills being conducted by forces. The goal of the drills is to increase cooperation between the Russian and Syrian militaries.

To the terrorists in Syria and their creators; watch your steps carefully, look around you. Russia will not go anywhere, Russia will continue to be in Syria for a long time, if not, permanently, depending on the decision of the Syrian government, of course. What’s not mentioned is these drills took place as the USS Harry S Truman carrier group were transiting the Mediterranean on their way to the Persian Gulf.
The USA will have 2 carrier groups as well as an amphibious landing ship full of F-35 jump jets in the Persian gulf next week to complement the ground and USAF reinforcements that have been deployed there recently.
