The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) destroyed on January 26 a large ammo depot of terrorist groups in the western outskirt of Aleppo city, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The state-run news agency reported that many other positions of terrorists in the western and southwestern countryside of Aleppo were also destroyed by the army.

A day earlier, the SAA kicked off an offensive around Aleppo city. In the evening, the army reportedly imposed control of the al-Sahafyeen residential complex and the Ghabat al-Assad hilltop in the city’s northwestern outskirt.

The SAA’s  4th Division is leading the offensive, according to pro-government forces. Many other units, and possibly Iranian-backed forces, are participating in the offensive.

The outskirt of Aleppo’s city is controlled by the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL). However, al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other terrorist groups also maintain a strong presence in the region.

Go, SAA!

Good job! Lots of ammunition and some new equipment including TOWs that had just been sent from the US and Turkey were stored in the depot. Tax money paid by poor hardworking Americans is wasted just to support terrorists.

I think it will be hard for saa to fully secure the aleppo because it needs to sever the connection between afrin and idlib way to turk border

It will be hard, but it will be done.

From the explosion, it doesn’t seem as if the terrorists had too much in the way of stores. Larger explosions have been posted online from Ukraine ammo dumps which caught fire.

Every little helps i guess.
