Syrian military helicopters together with the Russian ones are employed to provide security to civilian columns moving in the provinces of Homs and Deir Ezzor. The video above was allegedly filmed in late 2020 in the province of Deir Ezzor.
Since November 2020, Syrian government forces have been conducting active security operations to hunt down and eliminate ISIS cells that resurfaced in central Syria. Government forces achieved particular results in this field. However, attacks on civilian and military targets by ISIS militants that exploit the access denial zones crated by US forces in al-Tanf and on the eastern bank of the Euphrates continue.
