On March 25, Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers and supporters of the Damascus government intercepted a convoy of the US-led coalition near the town of al-Dadushiyah in the northern countryside of Syria’s al-Hasakah.

The coalition’s convoy, which consisted of four armored vehicles, attempted to enter al-Dadushiyah. However, it was confronted by SAA soldiers and a group of locals, some of whom were armed.

Syrian pro-government activists shared footage of the tense confrontation that ended with the withdrawal of the coalition’s convoy.

This was not the first US-led coalition convoy to be intercepted by SAA soldiers and government supporters during March. On March 3, a US-led coalition convoy was intercepted in the outskirts of the town of al-Dadushiyah. On March 17, a second convoy of the coalition was intercepted near the villages of al-Damkhia and Tell al-Dahab. On March 18, a third convoy was intercepted near the villages of Rahiya al-Sooda and Tamna al-Rahya. On March 19, a fourth coalition convoy was intercepted near Tell al-Dahab.

SAA soldiers and government supporters have been working to restrict the movements of the US-led coalition in al-Hasakah for a while now.

Several hundreds of US troops are currently present in northeastern Syria. Despite facing some pressure, Washington is not planning to withdraw its troops from the region anytime soon. In fact, recent reports revealed attempts by the coalition to expand its presence in the region, mainly in Raqqa.

Not much of an intercept ? Nor a confrontation ? Near UAF level of intercept and confrontation maybe but ….not seeing it. More like guy in 80s retro pleather jacket with AK has conversation with neighbor as US military MRAP turn around in back ground.

Dave

Yeah, a few guys in the foreground and a few vehicles in the background. Doubtful.
