What a BS! An AD system has as a basic configuration a alpha radar, which covers a 360 degree long to mid range view. Additionally all secctors are covered from which incoming attacks can be expected.In flat country this is again 360 degrees by overlapping sectors. near defense systems then cover their assigned sectors. Anything different from that is an incomplete deployment against any basic rules of engagement.

Even the US military no longer expects TOW missiles to be effective against modern armour. It was an excellent weapon in it’s day but it’s day was the 1970’s. Good enough for bush wars and soviet era tanks but not effective against what the Russians are building today. This isn’t a slight against a very good weapon it’s just that it’s a 50 year old weapon and the world has moved on.
