On June 7, video emerged online reportedly showing an Afghan army Mi-17 helicopter that was shot down by Taliban forces in Daikundi province. Afghan officials are yet to confirm the loss of a helicopter.

Doesn’t look too damaged. They probably shot off the tail rotor, and the helicopter went into uncontrollable autorotation and crashed. That’s why Kamov helicopters prefer the much more complex twin rotor system with no tail rotor.
