Three soldiers, including a colonel, were killed in the crash of a Mi-171 helicopter in northern Algeria. The incident took place in the Al-Attaf district in Ain Defla province on January 23.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, the helicopter was performing a planned training flight. An investigation is underway. The specialists are yet to clarify the causes and circumstances of the incident.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army Saïd Chengriha expressed condolences over the death of the crew members.
