Russian military sources shared a video showing the MI-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Forces that was reportedly shot down over the Donbass front lines.
Fighters of the 1st corps of the DPR People’s Militia shot down the Ukrainian helicopter near the village of Tonenkoe located in the area of Avdeevka.
According to the reports from the front lines, the helicopter was almost simultaneously hit by two missiles launched by servicemen of the 1st Slavic Brigade and the 11th Regiment of the DPR. As a result, the Ukrainian Mi-8 caught fire and crashed near the village of Pervomaiske.
Judging by the videos, the damaged Mi-8 was accompanied by another helicopter that likely belonged to the Ukrainian Air Forces. The crew of the second helicopter approached the destroyed aircraft and, assessing the situation, quickly left the area.

So far, the fate of the Ukrainian pilots is unknown. The Ukrainian military usually acknowledges the losses weeks after such incidents.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, so far, 344 aircraft, 184 helicopters, 2684 unmanned aerial vehicles of Ukrainian forces have been destroyed.
