The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) published video of the recent attack of Ukrainian unmanned boat on Sevastopol. The attack took place on December 30, 2023. It failed. The Russian Ministry of Defense and local officials reported that the boat was destroyed 3 km north of Sevastopol. LINK
The SBU published a video from a camera mounted on the Ukrainian unmanned boat. It shows the battle between the boat against the Russian patrol ship off the coast of Sevastopol. The video was cut by the Ukrainian military, which confirms that the Ukrainian boat lost the battle and was destroyed.
This is the first footage that showed the use of rockets by the Ukrainian SeaBaby drone. Previously, these boats were used by the Ukrainian military as kamikaze drones, but they were armed with some weapons for firing from a distance. The footage confirmed that the fire launched from the boat lacked accuracy and resulted in no damage to the Russian ship.
However, the reinforcement of the unmanned boats with MLRS may result in some problems for the Russian Navy or facilities on the shore if the boats manage to approach the targets unnoticed.
The Ukrainian military is producing and equipping their drones with close support from NATO, mainly British specialists.
