To be fair, you cannot blame individual soldiers, or units for such occurrences. The fact is, since the start of this conflict, mines were rapidly placed without proper mapping or notification. You mix irregular units into the mix and you have no effective control on who does what, when and where. Many don’t know they are in mine fields as those who planted those mines are either elsewhere, dead, or no longer fighting under various circumstances.

If dumb westerners hadn’t sent almost all their weapons and a few thousands of troops, the war would have been over (and by a lot).
