Drone doesn’t designate anything in this situation. We can not know which building was assigned as target for the pilot.

Because you know nothing about targeting and military doctrine. It hit the street, because under that street there was a tunnel that was conecting those two, also destroyed buildings. FAB 250 is formidable bomb. I wish they’ve showed the aftermath after smoke is gone, if something isn’t burning, from different sides, so you can see that these targets are neutralized.
their is one problem with your statment the FAB-250 is a general pourpous bomb and a flat nose one at that its not ment to penetrate earth/concorete/rock,even with a delayed action fuse it cant do that since its shaped like a cilinder with a flat nose. Also on top of that how can a small 250kg bomb destroy a building without hitting it? You need a minimum of a 500kg to do that.
A 75 to 100mm shell, will leave a crater, and its shrapnel and pressure blast would easily wipe out troops on either side of the street.
That’s about 20kg in a large shell, so 250kg coming down will obliterate any people within the blast radius, while sending a shockwave which could collapse an underground passageway close to the surface.

A 20kg 75mm shell?!?! Are you insane? That dose not exist…even 100mm shells weight a max of 15kg. Also you seem to be missing the point about explosives content as well…a standard M107 155mm shell only has about 6.5kg of TNT or RDX mix in it,smaller shells have even less. Also you really seem to over estemate what a 250kg bomb can do it cant collapse a tunnle since earth and rock are very good at absorbing shokwaves same with the street if you are hideing in a building you will be fine you will hide form both the shock and shrapnel. Also just for you info a 250kg bomb has form 50 to 87kg of explosive filler…not 250…

thats irelevant if it did not hit the intended building even a 250kg bomb can only do so mutch to a structure with its blast and shrapnel. I am not even hating this is a real critisizam but i can say i am not impressed with the accuracy of most of the Russian strikes they almost exclusevly use unguided FAB-250/270 and FAB-500 bombs.
And yet the Russians stopped the transportation of Syrian oil by ISIS with airstrikes.
The US had been “patrolling” the area for the previous 2 years, and didn’t hit one oil-tanker.

It is actually more efficient in order to maximize number of casualties to detonate a normal non armor piercing bomb next to a multi storeyed building rather than having it hit the roof.
ummm no general poupous bombs need a direct hit on a uncompromised building in order to destroy it.
A 250 kg non penetrating bomb might have troubles collapsing a 3 storey hardened concrete buildings as just the upper 1 or 2 levels would suffer from any serious damage.

Thats not the point. My original point was that the bomb missed its target by alot and this is a trend in Russian airstrikes while i am awar they exclusevly use unguided munitions for cost effectivness and i do admit that for unguided munitions they are very accurate.
