i support armed resistance however people should not be misled as to believe that an explosion against a tank is evidence of the tank being destroyed. you can throw a hand grenade against a tank and it will make an explosion, but won’t even chip the paint on a main battle tank. i seriously question if these tanks and heavy armored vehicles are being destroyed, especially when follow up footage is not being shown.
a tank doesn’t need to be destroyed, it has to be damaged enough that it becomes immobile or unusable without repair, which is also known as mobility kill
the trophy active protective system on the idf mbts might be stopping some of these projectiles, its hard to see in the videos. but many of these shots are from less than 50m away, where the trophy system would probably not work. i don’t think these guys would be hanging around to film the aftermath either way.
hamas use double anti tank round. the 1st explosive in the head of the round destroy the active defense of the tank. the 2dnd one, bigger, can damage the armor of the tank. at very short distance the trophy cannot destroy the round because trophy is designed to avoid friendly fire. trophy needs a couple of seconds to reload.

another day, more evidence that being on foot is a safer place to be, as long as you aren’t hanging around outside of cover anyway. tanks are basically useless in block by block fighting. perhaps they should be saved for fighting against armies proper. nobody listens to me with the state of the world as it is though.
maybe some ied and some sniper would also be effective. the rpg at short distances is devastating, although not against heavy armor. it is really a very unequal fight, honor to the palestinian fighters, live free or die
