This isn’t a couple of near Asian countries whose economies are measured in goats and camels. The USA and Russia can afford flying tanks with 5 ton weapons payloads and their soldiers are armed with manpads and radars. They also have air superiority fighters patroling miles above them.
They aren’t going to bring pea shooters to gun fights.

At last,i said this weeks ago should have happened,its insane to send busses full of people down that road without protection at present.
A small helicopter or drones base should be build where iSis is active so they ability to hit and run could be terminated.
A drones base is better since they much quite.
I hope the Russian pilots are well versed in avoiding ground to air attacks, Isis has successfully used MANPADS in this area several times already, and now that Isis knows the choppers are back in the air, I’m sure they’ll be pulling the MANPAD’s out of their storage vaults again.
