On June 22, Indian security forces carried out an operation against a local ISIS-affiliated group in the district of Anantnag in the southern part of the Kashmir region after receiving credible intelligence, according to the Indian NDTV.
Indian security forces cornered the group in a civilian house in Anantag and managed to neutralize it after heavy clashes. Four members of the groups including its commander Dawud Sofi were reportedly killed. Two civilians were also injured and killed as a result of the clashes.
“As the joint patrol made an advance towards the suspected house, terrorists hiding inside fired indiscriminately on the security forces, due to which a policeman Ashiq Hussain and a civilian identified as Muhammad Yousuf Rather, aged 53, a resident of Nowshahar Khiram, were hit and later succumbed to their injuries,” a spokesman for the Indian Police said describing the security oepration, according to the Asian Age.
The ISIS-linked news agency Amaq confirmed the radical group’s links to the terrorists and revealed that an Indian policeman was killed and six others were injured during the clashes in Anantag. Indian sources confirmed Amaq’s claims.
Following the successful security operation, thousands of locals attended the funeral of Dawud Sofi in Anantag and clashed with Indian security forces. Photos of the protesters shows that many of them were waving the traditional Islamic “Rayat al-Uqab,” which is also the official flag of ISIS.

C’mon, now not everybody, that is Muslim and has a gun somewhere, is ISIS.. Kashmir is mainly MUSLIM (85-90%), only that the reckless British Empire (typically for that PERFIDIOUS ALBION), by his last months before its death, left everywhere behind (see Kashmir, see the fake-land KUWAIT, see the betrayed KURDS in MOSSUL) such “social and political landmines and IEDs”, to have a reason to COME BACK one day…. So, the Brits planted a HINDU Maharajah over the Muslim Kashmir and, as expected, the Maharajah joined INDIA. Kashmir should be a PAKISTANI province, not Indian.

A couple hundred years from now, demography isn’t going to mean shit, and identities like “Christian” and “Moslem” will mean radically different things from what they do today. The human condition will be utterly transformed by technologies that are in their infancy today. Any “predictions” more than a few decades in the future is bound to be completely wrong.
I beg to differ hamster. I love science and tech as well and you are no doubt correct about new technology’s transformative effect on us. However,unless we no longer will have brains and spirit,i can not see us lose our “human condition”. There will be religion of some type around and there will be divisions.
There are Christians out there who remember when lands were Christian in the years 600AD. I am one of them .By the same token there are Moslems out there who want to steal more for their ummah.
There will be tribalism and divisions, and there will still be nominal Christians and Muslims, but this Islamist notion of conquest and expansion of the Ummah could very well become an archaic concept at some point, which only very fringe elements of society subscribe to. Of course, I could be wrong and its never good to be complacent, but just realize that there is nothing unique about Islam or Muslims. Islam is perfectly capable of adapting and transforming, even radically so, into forms that you and I would find completely palatable and harmless, and could be completely unrecognizable a few centuries from now from what we see today. And frankly, the type of Christianity that existed during the “Reconquista” or for that matter, for much of history prior to the Enlightenment, is not something I would be particularly enthusiastic about. And in fact, most of human history and most places is essentially a shithole of suffocating oppression and bloodbaths, even before the monotheistic religions came around.
