Two ringleaders of the Free Idlib Army have been killed by a group, affiliated to Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the al-Nusra Front), in Ma’rat Harama village, located in the southern part of Idlib province, the Fars news agency reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed battlefield sources.

“A security unit of the al-Nusra Front attacked the headquarters of the Free Idlib Army and fled the scene after killing two field commanders of the group, namely Younis Zariq and Ahmad al-Khatib,” the sources said.

The sources also added that an outpost of the Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group in al-Habit village in southern Idlib, was attacked by another group. As a result, three members of Ahrar al-Sham were killed.

According to earlier reports of this month, a military organization was formed by a group of terrorists in Kafr Oweid in southern Idlib in order to secede from Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham, after the first convoy of their companions in arms left eastern Aleppo and set a course for Idlib.

The announcement followed a one-hour-long meeting between terrorist commanders in Kafr Oweid town, during which, according to sources, a difficult situation, which militants are facing, was discussed.

According to the sources in Idlib, advances of the Syrian Army and popular forces against terrorists of Jaish al-Fatah in Aleppo city have pushed militants to Idlib in deep fear, disunity and collapse.

The sources also added that advances of the pro-government forces against Jaish al-Fatah in the eastern parts of Aleppo have made terrorists, who have been targeting residential areas in the besieged towns of Fu’ah and Kafarya in northern Idlib, to live in fear, as analysts believe that Syrian troops will move toward the province of Idlib after the liberation of Aleppo.
