Palestinian factions continue to launch dozens of rockets from the Gaza Strip despite Israel’s never-ending airstrikes on the enclave.
On May 20, warplanes of the Israeli Air Force carried out a new wave of airstrikes on Gaza. The airstrikes hit tunnels of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, and rocket launchers of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad military wing, the al-Quds Brigades.

While Israel claims that its airstrikes on Gaza are only targeting military infrastructure, more civilians are getting killed every day.
According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, Israeli strikes have claimed the lives of 230 people, including 65 children and 39 women. More than 1,700 others were injured.
Despite Israel’s intense bombardment on the Gaza Strip, Palestinian factions continue to fire rockets at southern and central Israel.
Many of the rockets fired on May 20 were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. Yet, several impacts were reported in Ashdod and Be’er Sheva. No human losses were reported.

Earlier today, an Israeli service member was wounded when fighters of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli military bus north of Gaza with a guided missile. Footage of the attack were shared by the group.
So far, Palestinian factions have launched over 4,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military claims that 90% of successful launches were intercepted by the Iron Dome.
