Intense strikes targeted Kharkiv and other regions in Ukraine early on June 7, with Kiev blaming Russia for the large-scale attack.
The Ukrainian military said that Russia launched 206 drones, two ballistic and seven cruise missiles against Ukraine during the attack. It claimed that its air defence units shot down 87 drones while another 80 drones were lost – in reference to the Ukrainian military using electronic warfare to redirect them – or they were decoys that did not carry warheads.
Despite these claims, over 50 blasts were reported in Kharkiv only, with many being captured in footage shared by Ukrainian media.
Kharkiv governor Oleh Syniehubov said that one of the industrial facilities in Kharkiv city was attacked by 40 drones, one missile and four bombs, causing a fire. Meanwhile, Ihor Terekhov, the governor of the city, claimed that three people were killed and 22 others were wounded as a result of the strikes.
Among the targets in Kharkiv was the Kommunar Association, which produces navigation systems and other components for reconnaissance drones.
Blasts were heard in several other Ukrainian regions. In the Dnepropetrovsk region alone, two industrial facilities were reportedly hit.
One of the targeted facilities was the Pavlograd Mechanical Plant, which produces components for rockets and missiles. Another was PJSC Polimermash that produces ammunation. NPO Dnepropress LLC, which produces repair equipment, was also hit.
Several hits were also reported in the Donetsk region. An ammunition depot of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, a logistic center of the 10th Separate Assault Brigade, and drone units of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” were reportedly targeted.
Meanwhile in the region of Ternopil, the Penoboard plant and the OSP Corporation VATRA enterprise were both reportedly targeted.
Amid the strikes on Ukraine, an attack with over a hundred drones was repelled by Russian air defenses in the capital, Moscow, and other regions.
In two separate statements, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that a total of 118 fixed-wing suicide drones were shot down overnight by air defenses in Moscow, as well as in the regions of Kursk, Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk, Belgorod, Oryol, Tula, and Ryazan.
Videos posted to social networks showed some of the drones before being intercepted. No casualties or material losses were reported.
Just a day earlier, Russia carried out one of its largest drone and missile attacks against Ukraine, hitting military targets across the country. Kiev forces responded by launching more than 170 drones and missiles at several Russian regions, nearly all of which were intercepted.
The current escalation was initiated by Ukraine, which earlier this week claimed responsibility for a sabotage attack with drones that targeted multiple bases in Russia hosting nuclear-capable strategic bombers. Kiev also targeted several civilian sites within Russia in acts of railway sabotage over the weekend, killing at least seven people and injuring over 120.

pretty lackluster but effective retaliation from russia. it seems that russia knows perfectly well what it is doing anyway, ukraine is being attacked more and more and kursk is still occupied and some russian trees are surrounded. russia is damn strong. probably, that’s why umerov is traveling around the world to recruit manpower for the fight for the heroic ukrainian army.nato and ukraine have not turned the tide for 3 years, so ukrain will have to capitulate.
nuclear fire will cleanse the ukrozz from ukraine…heheheh
in vietnam in the 60s, the nva and viet cong taught classes to the civilians on methods to bring down enemy helicopters: where to target, adjusting for speed of approaching aircraft etc. involving the people with light firearms and minor training was a huge success and greatly increased the losses of the attacking aircraft and crews.
every night should look like this. no rest for banderits and nato fucks.
the current escalation was initiated by the united states. the ukrainians could not have conducted their theatrical drone production without the us, and the outcome in no way improved the ukrainian position.
the aipac run congress only has money printing to save itself / so israel will sacrifice the golden calf of the usa to only fall with it .
