Iran To Increase Range Of Its Missiles If Europe Becomes Threat

On November 26, Deputy Commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Hossein Salami, warned that Iran will increase the range of its ballistic missiles to over 2,000km if Europe becomes a threat to Iran, according to the Iranian Fars agency.

The senior IRGC commander revealed that Iran already has the needed technology to extend the range of its ballistic missiles. However, Tehran does not see this as a necessity now.

“If we have kept the range of our missiles to 2,000 kilometers, it’s not due to lack of technology. … We are following a strategic doctrine … So far we have felt that Europe is not a threat, so we did not increase the range of our missiles. But if Europe wants to turn into a threat, we will increase the range of our missiles,” Brig. Gen. Salami said according to Fars.

Brig. Gen. Salami statement is likely a reponse to the November 9 statement of French President Emmanuel Macron, in which he called for a negotiations with Iran over its ballistic missile program and even threatened Tehran with sanctions.

“Like what was done in 2015 for the nuclear activities, it’s necessary to put a framework in place for Iran’s ballistic activities and open a process, with sanctions if needed, of negotiation that would enable [an agreement],” Macron said.

However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi rejected Macron’s proposal and said that “Iran’s defense affairs are not negotiable”.

Lately, the US and Saudi Arabia accused Iran of supplying long-range ballistic missiles to the Houthis in Yemen. An accusation that was seen by many experts as a propaganda stunt aimed at pressuring Iran to give up its ballistic missile program, which is considered the biggest threat to Israel.

I hope this was just a clever way of telling the Russians, ‘you better sell us your good fighter jets in 2020’ and he wasn’t being serious. Ballistic missiles with conventional warheads is extremely inefficient way to threaten Europe and it plays into the hands of the ABM deployment crowd as well as those claiming that iran has an ICBM program.

The more I think of it, I think it was to needle Russia (who doesn’t want more ABM systems installed). Just like his reminder that 2,000 km puts a lot of U.S. bases in range of attack.

stealthy cruise missiles with nukes are pretty much enough to take out the bruxelles bureaucracy and remnants of 1789 rebellious skum. In some worse case, hit nuclear reactors and hole like france becomes long term irradiated pos that cant be just rebuilt. Sure the wind flows in many directions at the start, but with an overload of emergency situations they would take the brunt instead of all others. French do have nukes too so them being really threatened is hypocritical.

Western Europe needs to shut their big fat mouths. They are going to have enough problems in the coming years, soon, and they need to stop contributing to conflicts around the world. Stupid fools.

Who cares what French president said, Europe is big and it has too many countries what people think when France makes threats to Iran. That’s for France , Europe is not just 1 country so Iran can threatens. It’s better for Iran to clarify when it talks Europe is Threat to say which country of Europe might be that country. You cant just say Europe is a threat, there are countries here that never heard of Iran Imao. And have nothing to do with Iran and their politics.

France and the EU countries cannot threaten Iran militarily, only economically w/sanctions. If Iran actually carried through with this type of ballistic missile development they would be playing into U.S. hands, encourage sanctions and not gain military security.

I still think this was more of a message to Russia, not to play games with weapons sales like they did with the S300 and not a real threat to Europe or France.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying that Iran is threatening Russia with ballistic missiles but rather that the threat of increasing the range of ballistic missiles gives the U.S. an excuse to increase deployment of ABM systems in Europe. Kind of like saying, ‘don’t play games with weapons sales otherwise we will sick the U.S. on you Russia’.

Macron is a slave of Rothchild bankers and he only does and say what they order him to do so it is a threat from the racist supremacist Rothchild bankers.
