A demonstration of new developments in the field of the latest-generation radar stations of the Meraj and Matla ul-Fajr series took place in Iran. The latest developments of the Electronic Industries Organization of Iran were presented in the presence of Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan in the city of Shiraz, which is the main center of the Iranian electronics industry, where similar ceremonies are traditionally held.

The Meraj-4 mobile three-coordinate radar station has already been showed, but for this time it was officially presented. It is assumed that the new radar station may become a part of the perspective air defense system of Iran.

The Matla ul-Fajr-3 new mobile three-coordinate radiolocation station, which became a further development of the Iranian Matla ul-Fajr series of radar units, was also presented during the presentation. The maximum potential range of detection of the station was stated to be up to 500 kilometers.

That’s good, but in the type of war you Iranians are fighting, this is pretty useless, as you shall be developing UGV (unmaned ground vehicles) and assault tools for infantry

Random guy

This obviously is not for Syrian campaign, but for possible airstrikes on their soil.

Airstrikes from who? The turkish? They are not attacking non-isis positions anymore as long as I know, also I really doubt Iran would dare to use this against any western coallition

Random guy

Israel has been thinking about it for a while now, but too far for their Air Force capabilities. US currently would be the main candidate.

Both of you are wrong. Despite the long winded propaganda that iran wants to nuke US/Israel, Iran craves to destroy saudi arabia above all. They are literally mortal enemies….

Random guy

How can I be wrong if I did not write anything about possible Irani attack on Israel or US?

Shhh

Is it effective for low cross section aerial vehicles? What is frequency?

Since these things are mobile, they should have like cheap stuff that imitates the radar for a short moment, when incoming missiles are detected and the radars are the target.

So when its like those minutes needed to move just enough away for the real radar to survive, and the cheap radar simulator to get taken out.

Possibly it can work the other way, where a device simulating to be the radar, is turned on and the real radar off, while the radar simulator move like 500 meters away.

A radar that simulates a radar sounds a lot cheaper to me and if its only to do that for lets say 10 minutes, it sounds even more cheap. Loosing the real radar might mean loosing your nation.

Just my five cents

Lol, still using windows xp =P
