Iran will attack foreign spy planes and ships that will try to enter the area of the joint Iranian-Chinese-Russian naval drills, the Coordinating Deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Habibollah Sayyari said on December 28.
He recalled that Iran has already demonstrated that it’s capable to do so, and repeated that Iran will react immidiately against hostile aircraft and ships.
The frou-day Iranian-Chinese-Russian naval drills, the first of their kind, were launched on December 27. The aim is to secure international trade routes in strategic waterways and boost preparedness among participants against piracy and marine terrorism. They are being conducted in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean.
Senior Iranain armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Aboldazl Shekarchi emphasized that the drill’s purpose was to bolster “international commerce security in the region” and “fighting terrorism and piracy.”

“The message of this exercise is peace, friendship and lasting security through cooperation and unity… and its result will be to show that Iran cannot be isolated,” Iranian admiral Gholamreza Tahani said on state television.

Remarks by the top Iranian defense officials go fully in the framework of the Iranian regional strategy. By shooting down spy planes or attacking spy ships, Iran will once again confirm its readiness to carry out its duty as an ally of China and Russia, as well as send another strong signal to Western powers.
This drill sends a message but if Pakistan would have been there too then it would have send a far bigger one.
Wahhabi Pakistan is not Iran’s friend, or China’s. Like Turkey, you deal with them as you need to, but never forget to watch your back.

Trump might have fired Bolton for setting up fake attacks in gulf of Iran, but boomer generals in Pentagon still send drones like Global Hawk over the strait. So Iran has a right to shoot down those provocative drones. Trump should fire those rebel generals, too.
