On April 19th, the Iranian Army unveiled two indigenous radars – Khalij-e Fars (‘Persian Gulf’) and the Moraqeb (‘Watchful’).
The ceremony was attended by Army Commander Maj. Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi and Army Air Defense Forces Commander Brig. Gen. Alireza Sabahifard.

Khalij-e Fars is a long-range and strategic radar system with an operational range of over 800 kilometers. The three-dimensional phased array radar system can detect all types of conventional and stealth targets, including ballistic missiles.
Moraqeb is also a three-dimensional phased array radar with high precision and cutting-edge technologies. With a range of 400 kilometers, the new Iranian radar is capable of detecting aerial targets with high precision and resolution.
Moraqeb can identify various small targets, including stealth drones, at low and medium altitudes.

According to the unveiling, both systems were developed with collaboration between the Iranian Army and domestic knowledge-based companies.
The Moraqeb specifically was developed as a tactical radar for long-range aerial protection from the get-go.
Iran continues to praise its progress in developing its defense capability, and appears to adequately deal with much more funded adversaries such as the US, which can be seen with the ballistic missiles launched towards the al-Asad air base in Iraq, the damage they caused, as well as the continuous complaints by US Aircraft Carriers that they are being “harassed” by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The Tabas, Semnan province is located in northern Iran, while the city itself is located in the central part of the country, but somewhat closer to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The reported range of both radars, furthermore, allows Iran to deploy them along its southern borders and easily monitor the activity in US bases in Qatar, as well as deployment in other parts of the country could allow it to detect activity in US bases in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Afghanistan, Oman and Pakistan.

Despite all the faults which are eating away at the globohomo West, the US Chair Force and naval aviation are still exceedingly dangerous. In a real hot war I doubt the Iranian air force would pose much of a threat beyond a couple of weeks. Iran can inflict some severe damage though. In DoD wargames involving Iran, OPFOR has sunk supercarriers through swarm tactics. I have a feeling those F5 knockoffs they are producing have a hidden role as kamikaze craft.
F5 can’t be that bad – the USAF has often used it as an “aggressor” aircraft in war games. And it doesn’t always lose either.
If one of the Iranian F5 copies (presumably one of the older models, but possibly any of the newer ones also) made a supersonic (or nearly so) landing into the hull of a supercarrier, I reckon the Persians would count that as an acceptable loss. The US Navy couldnt afford too many of those victories.
I hate to sound like a cheerleader for the Globohomo nu-West, but their combat pilots get a whole bunch of time in the air and are generally regarded as the best in the world, along with having good planes (aside from the F35 boondoggle). If I were a Persian defence minister, I think I’d throw everything I had at wiping out the nests instead of swatting at the hornets individually.

As I have previously posted in detail, Iran already had the Russian Kolchuga passive sensor system, however now long range super radars are being integrated with some of the most dense fiber optic layered SAM system in the world that will cover all the way from Chah Bahar to Occupied Palestine. Iran is an educated ancient civilization and not easy to panic and handled everything with faith and unity, which the Arabs should learn. Yes you are right even Iran stood by China and sent aid to China in the beginning of this crisis and the Chinese ambassador took to Twitter and said they will never forget what Iran did and Iran was the first country to stand by us.

Iran has also just released photos of the the new Sa’egheh2 (Lightning bolt) fighters armed with Fattar 9X AAM with a range of 45 kms. The new Saegheh 2 are more aerodynamic with BVR radars and more sleek than the initial 24 used by the IRIAF. Single seat and similar capability to a F-18.
