Iran Will Receive Su-35 Fighter Jets From Russia In Spring: Lawmaker

Iran will receive a number of Su-35 multi fighter jets from Russia early next Iranian year, which starts on March 21, the Tasnim News Agency reported on January 15, citing Iranian Parliament member Shahriar Heidari.

The Su-35 was designed by Russia’s Sukhoi Design Bureau to engage all types of aerial targets in long and close ranged air battles as well as to attack ground and sea-surface targets including those covered by air defenses and located far behind the frontline.

Recent reports said that Russia has agreed to supply Iran with 24 Su-35s which were originally built for Egypt as a part of a deal that was thwarted by the United States.

Heidari, who is a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in the Iranian Parliament, told  Tasnim that the deal with Russia includes other military equipment from Russia, including air defense and missile systems as well as helicopters.

The semi-official news agency speculated that some of the Su-35s will be housed at Tactical Air Base 8 of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), which is located near the central city of Isfahan.

Russia has not yet commented on Tasnim’s report, neither did any senior Iranian officials. Tehran usually announces major arms deals.

The IRIAF is currently relying on American fighter jets made in the 1970s which were left from the period before the 1979 Islamic revolution. If delivered, the Su-35s will be the first new fighter jets to enter service with the air force since the 1990s, when Iran received a few MiG-29s from Russia.

The alleged Iranian Su-35 deal will likely lead to tensions between Russia and Israel. Tel Aviv, who will view the deal as a violation of the 2015 nuclear agreement, could escalate is covert war against Tehran.

From its side, the U.S. may use the deal as a pretext to mount more pressure on Moscow over the conflict in Ukraine. Washington has already accused Iran of providing military support to the Russian special military operation there.

Oh ho ho ho ho… Did Putin just tell the Zionists where to stick their sanctions or what? ROFLMFAO. Iran must be loving this deal, the Israelis are going to be seething for months over this new game changing development. Iran will be able to do raids on the illegally occupied Golan heights or any of the American terrorist cell bases, er ‘green zones’ with much more confidence and success. Also, Israel will have to risk having their aircraft over run and shot down by faster Su35s if they dare fly a sortie over Iran once these are opperational. We can likely expect Israel to stir the pot with attacks on Iran to make good of the closing window of air superiority they will be losing once those Su35s are up and running.

Telegram – In addition, Shahriar Heydari also mentioned “air defense systems, missile systems and helicopters purchased by Iran, most of which will be received in the near future..”.

Should have been done years ago. Russia as answer to the western sanction should declare all sanctions illegal and sell everything but weapons of mass destruction to everyone who pays.

USA is a shithole, EU is becoming one

Why Russia does not concentrate the entire industrial might into one effort to destroy, obliterate Ukraine?

I’d guess because especially with the Air Force Russia has more than enough equipment but they lacked manpower on the ground and training. Looking at the Air Force Russia for some reason doesn’t do SEAD missions to completely disable the Ukrainian SAM sites. Which in turn would enable them to not only use artillery and cruise missiles but also allow efficient tactical bombing which would annihilate the UAF. But Russia doesn’t do it and the speculation is that they can’t. Either they lack anti-radiation missiles, although they have some. Or they never implemented this doctrine in their air force. In either case the solution is not more aircraft but either more missiles or more training. I might be wrong but I think the ground war will be won by Russia before the Russian Air Force would be ready anyway.

To be %100 sure and knowing our beloved lawmakers (some of whom can’t differentiate between their mouths and their bottoms), I prefer a confirmation from either governments.

That being said and based on prior signs, such delivery (24 jets) if going through is just the part that is made in Russia. I’m willing to bet that there will be a larger number of planes (perhaps about 4 to 5 times this number) assembled in Iran with parts manufactured locally. Not to mention the cooperation to manufacture rotary wing aircrafts. For the Empire this is something to worry about, not a limited number of purchased airplanes.

Oh, and what they are worrying about is also funny: They don’t think Iran will use these jets to attack somebody, what they find unacceptable is that Iran’s skies will be much more unsafe for intruders!

It is interesting to note that the Persians use the biblical calendar where the New Year starts in Spring.

Interesting, but I doubt if it’s biblical, because it’s much older than the Bible. Nobody can tell you exactly when it was invented (but we know when and by whom it was revised and perfected). To have an idea just look Nowrooz (or Norooz) up, the festivals and ceremonies of the new year, starting at the exact second of the new year, not midnight.

Actually, it is correct. The year begins when spring begins and ends when winter ends.

Looks like Iran will be the country most benefited by the war in Ukraine and all thanks to the US and NATO’s scheme which installed the puppet Zelenskyy regime in order to bring Ukraine into NATO. Iran will have nuclear capacity during Biden’s term and there’s nothing Israel and its Western puppets can do about it.

Iran could’ve have had one long time ago. There’s a religious fatwa that makes it forbidden in Islam for them to make one because nukes only affect civilians, not the Jews in the doomsday bunkers. Khamenei can reverse the fatwa to get a nuke as deterrent, but who knows

Where iranians fly with SU-57.

This is very, very good for Iran, as they will have a fighter that can go up against anything US and Isreal have. This changes alot when comes to airspace over Iran.
