On January 4, Gholamali Khoshroo, the Iranian ambassador to the UN accused the US of interfering in the internal affairs of Iran and said in a letter to Antonio Guterres, UN secretary-general, that the US has “crossed every limit” by “inciting Iranians to engage in disruptive acts”.
“[The US] has stepped up its acts of intervention in a grotesque way in Iran’s internal affairs under the pretext of providing support for sporadic protests, which in several instances were hijacked by infiltrators,” Khoshroo said, according to the state-run Iranian media outlet Press TV.
On December 28, thousands of Iranians took at the streets to protest against the Iranian government for economical reasons. Only hours later, US President Donald Trump encouraged the Iranian protestor, and tweeted that the “world is watching” what’s going on in Iran.

On January 3, the US President even vowed to support the Iranian protestors against what the “corrupt government” of Iran.

Other top US officials including Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson also stressed their support to the Iranian protestors. US Envoy Nikki Haley even called for an “urgent” UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting on January 8 to discuss the situation in Iran. However, no meeting has been yet scheduled.
The US intervention in the internal affairs of Iran raised the concerns in several countries including Russia. Sergei Ryabkov, the Russian deputy foreign minister, warned the US from intervening in Iran’s internal affairs in an interview with the Russian news agency TASS on January 4.
“We warn the US against attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran … I am certain that our neighbor, our friendly state [Iran] will manage to overcome current difficulties and come from the current period as a strengthened country and reliable partner to solve various problems, “ Ryabkov said, according to TASS.
The official also accused the US of abusing the current protests in Iran to pressure Iran on matters related to the Iranian nuclear deal.

if we keep on making statements we’ll never achieve anything but continuation of the corrupted practice of condemning this and that or vetoing something bias. UN is supposed to serve the people of the world, not usa and israhell. we have to stop the “blame ” game and throwing stones against each other. UN needs reforms and relocation and a reasonable financial structure.
Exactly 1691…UN needs more than just reforming, it needs to be introduce a system where the violator of International Law, UN Charter etc.. is not permitted to veto their violations, that is the 5 permanent members. UN should also have a fee based system where all members contribute exactly the same.
i want to know who will initiate the reforms within the UN? it’s long overdue but how should we implement them? a referendum? a proposal from one of the members? a world wide protest?
UN is supposed to be the guardian of International Law and it’s affiliates. What Russia and China are currently doing is setting up a similar system CIS, OSCE and if International Law is incorporated into those or similar institutions/organizations then the UNSC will most likely become nullified. The UNO will most likely still exist but the problem is the UNSC which needs to be replaced outside the UNO. UNSC cannot continue in it’s current format especially the 5 permanent members who as I said previously can veto their own violations. Welcome your thoughts on this.

Let’s hope the world gets wise and say the end of the UNSC should be the most important thing on the agenda. The problem is the UNSC holds all the real power at the UN and it has to go in it’s entirety. The way forward would be to eliminate the UNSC and create a larger council with term limits on positions and a review to whether or not they can be guardians of the sovereignty of nations which is originally what the position entailed. This is what happens when NATO corruption of graft and greed infests the UN.
The other solution which would be more appropriate is that the UNSC is dissolved. The world does not need a One World Government and each nation should have total sovereign rights. The Hague could deal with the offenders, not the UNSC.
Problem with the Hague it’s been hijacked by the US again has been a problem even when they had the Nuremberg cases just too easily subjected to manipulation and no real justice is ever achieved only the west’s version is the truth and other is irrelevant.
When you combine the foundation of the Hague with International Law and the Judges are appointed by states that are sovereign without any ties to the accused then it is a strong possibility that the system will function without external influences. The only reason that the US/UK/France and Israel are getting away with their crimes is because of the UNSC with veto rights. Imagine the results if African judges are appointed.
Would be nice if they were appointed by all countries and not a handful of colonial regimes who are long past their day, like 100 years past.
i don’t want to sound extreme but either reform UN or… dissolve it. there is definitely no need for a corrupt, unjust and useless institution that does not function properly.
Protest because USA will intervene and overthrow UN.

You could exchange the word Iranian for American and you basically have the reason why 'The Donald' got elected;. To clean up Washington's corruption and squandering the nation's wealth to fund terrorism abroad. And yet he continues to do just that.
According to statistics, American police killed 1129 people (only 12 policemen were charged with a crime) in 2017. In 2018, so far 10 people were killed by the American police. But let’s have an emergency meeting about the protests in Iran (which is finished by the way, but we try to show it’s still there by publishing Bahrain’s protests footage and claim it’s Iran).
There are all kinds of riots and unrests in Bahrain and occupied Palestine with brutal military crack down and rubber stamp court martial of civilians, but these aren’t important. We only care about dear Iranians’ freedom!

Perhaps in this session Nikki the witch breaks in tears for our freedom? And by showing the pictures of the people killed in 2009 unrests? More or less like Powell with his “vial of Anthrax”, but with sobbing and sad puppy eyes.
