Iranian-Backed Forces On Syrian-Iraqi Border Are On High Alert Over Expected Israeli Attacks

Iranian-backed forces in Syria’s Deir Ezzor have been placed on a high-alert, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on December 5.

The London-based monitoring group said that all Iranian military positions between the Syrian-Iraqi border and the city of al-Mayadin in southern Deir Ezzor are currently on a high-alert.

“The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) have brought in military reinforcement from their positions in Palmyra city and the eastern countryside of Homs to the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor,” the SOHR’s report reads.

The SOHR also noted that all posts and checkpoints in the cities, towns and villages of southern Deir Ezzor had been reinforced by the IRGC.

The military buildup in Deir Ezzor comes amid high tensions between Israel and Iran. Officials in Tehran believe that the Israeli intelligence was behind the assassination of the country’s top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Fakhrizadeh was killed in the outskirts of Tehran on November 27, supposedly with a remotely-controlled machine gun installed on the back of a booby-trapped pickup truck.

In the last few years, the Israeli Air Force carried out multiple airstrikes on Syrian and Iranian positions in Deir Ezzor. Most of the strikes targeted an alleged missile base of the IRGC a few kilometers away from Iraq’s border.

Earlier this week, Reuters reported that a commander of the IRGC was killed, along with three other individuals, in an airstrike that targeted the Syrian-Iraqi border. The Iranian side denounced these reports as fake.

The recent military developments in Deir Ezzor show how Syria has become a battlefield, on which Iran and Israel settle their differences.

Exactly why Iran always tries to refrain from hitting Israel militarily.

It shows what Israelis and Americans think of the unexpected Iranian response. On the other hand, the Iranian militias in the Middle East are expecting more Israeli bombings. https://twitter.com/AuroraIntel/status/1334769278453747715

Authorities think we are complete fools. We are Fooled to stay home because authorities insist on a fake pandemic that has 99% survivability rate. Syria is eaten inside out by Terrorist Cancer, but the Black ISIS Cancer must be cherished inside The Body of Syria, because Russia is doing important business with Turkey. Despite NATO killing so many Russian singers and dancers and fighter pilots. Their dried blood doesn’t count at all in the Big Global Scheme.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

“The recent military developments in Deir Ezzor show how Syria has become a battlefield, on which Iran and Israel settle their differences.”

Isn’t that the truth, but they should also tell us what most of the Syrian population think about that, which is something SF never does, but I know what the majority of the civilian population think about it, I hear what they say, and they don’t want their children to live and play in Israel and Iran’s new battleground, they want Israel and Iran to go find another battleground, and start their new war a long way away from them.

Israeli airstrikes against Iranian positions in Deir ez Zor aren’t anywhere as likely as US air/missile strikes against Iranian positions in Deir ez Zor, that’s what the Iranians in Deir ez Zor should really be worried about. It’s actually the Iranians in Darra/Quneitra/As Suwayda that really should be worried about the Israeli Airforce, and they should also be worried about the vast majority of the local population in those areas, because those civilians might just act as ground forces for Israel if a real fight does start.

Iran has lost virtually all of it’s local Syrian civilian support over the last 2 years, more people should find out why, they’ve gone from being thought of as saviours to now being considered sinners in most of the Syrian populations eyes. The Syrian people appreciated Iran for helping them overcome Isis, but they don’t want to finish that war and just start another one with Israel, and I don’t blame them, 9 years of war is already too much, let Iran and Israel go somewhere else to start their fight.
