Iranian-backed forces massing around Deir Ezzor city
The Iranian Consultative Center in Syria announced on March 12 that it didn’t not lose personnel in the recent airstrikes on the city of al-Bukamal on Iraq’s border.
In an official statement, the center, which commands Iranian forces in Syria, denied all reports claiming that Iranian-backed fighters were killed in the mysterious airstrikes.
“Regarding the reports claiming that over 26 martyrs had fallen in the airstrikes on military positions in al-Bukamal, we want to completely deny these claims and stress that there were no martyrs in the said airstrikes,” the statement, which was shared by U-News, reads.
A series of airstrikes targeted military positions, including the Imam Ali Base, in the outskirt of al-Bukamal city late on March 11.
The airstrikes took place a few hours after a rocket attack that killed three service members of the U.S.-led coalition in Camp Taji in central Iraq. This led many observers into believing that the airstrikes were a response by the U.S. This is yet to be confirmed by Washington.
Last December, the U.S. attacked positions of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Iraq and inside Syria. The airstrikes were a response to a rocket attack that killed an American defense contractor in Iraq’s K1 Base.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) and many other pro-opposition sources rushed into promoting reports of Iranian casualties in the airstrikes. These reports were apparently nothing but propaganda.
The US would like nothing better than to flatten these guys for doing their part to destroy the ISIS headchoppers. They should be sure not to stick together in large groups and make it easy for US forces to bomb them.
It is unclear why the Iranians needed this provocation. Maybe a diversion from the Corona crisis.

If anyone is trying to divert attention it would have to be America. After making their own testing kits instead of the approved WHO ones the US kits FAILED. Now they have to get the proper ones. With many unable to afford to go to hospitals or doctors many people re not reporting they have it so soon there will be a massive jump in numbers.
