I guess eventually someday this >25 centuries old conflict (which started by annual raids of Khazars on Iran) has to come to an end, one way or another. I don’t think it would be much of an issue, both America and Israel has shown great reluctance in striking Iran proper outside of sabotage/assassinations and acts of espionage which wont put much of a dent in Iran’s nuclear apparatus. So I don’t personally see either one of them going after the nuclear facilities directly. One can only hope that such an action would actually be what causes Iran to fire back come hell or high-water.

Rouhani is a president that has/had put too much faith in the negotiating process, essentially gambling and losing a high-stakes bet against a country that (evidently) flip-flops national policy directions every 4-8 years or so. Such a miscalculation has lead us to the situation we are today but I cannot personally put the blame entirely on Rouhani and his administration. Trump was a wild-card that nobody back in 2015 could have foreseen, at least this is my take on it, but nonetheless we are here and Iranians are unjustly suffering from a nepotistic, despotic narcissist who in bed too deep with Israel.
Biden is most definitely not to be trusted as, like it or not, Trump has introduced a new set of ‘rules’ to the playbook when it comes to dealing with Iran and that is, apparently, you can get away with far more than previously thought and push the Iranians farther than ever before without (thus far) incurring much a penatly. I can’t tell if Biden is willing to ‘bend the envelope’ as it were, but it’s clear to Iran now more than ever that blindingly following this idea that the Americans will be even remotely inclined to follow a deal that they themselves can’t even implement properly is no longer acceptable.

Well, the %20 enrichment and other measures are done under the pressure from parliament. Rohani and his FM publicly and several times said they are against this law because it makes the west “uneasy” and angry.
While not all the blame is on Rohani and his admin because of the way the US behaves, his admin is also plagued with nepotism, corruption, inaction and unbelievable pride. US and gang’s sanctions hurt but it was possible to make them less effective if they pay proper attention to domestic production. If you are a manufacturer you’d understand. His admin introduced more than 1500 different rules and regulations in front of manufacturing and just starting a factory or even a workshop requires a very lengthy (if you are lucky it’s less than a year) labyrinth of bureaucracy. Not only there’s no support for manufacturing in his admin, they actively saboutage it by various means. Except car manufacturing which is so much supported, it gave the opposite results. They also saboutaged our relations with China and Russia to a great deal.
Now after destroying our self-sufficiency in agriculture (the most important ones: wheat, rice, potato, onion, oil seeds and livestock feed), they are doing their best to destroy steel and cement industry. I supported him 8 years ago and I feel shame for doing it. His own brother, his vice’s brother, a lot his ministers’ families are involved/accused/convicted of financial crimes and theft of public property. It’s so bad that the head of judiciary is trying to restart the closed factories while it’s not his job. So far he was successful in reopening of a few thousand closed factories and countless workshops

About %70 of the government’s budget is to pay the astronomical salaries of their good-for-nothing circle in the state-run companies while the development, education, health and military budget decreases every year. Many of them are caught and hopefully next year the rest of them are behind the bars or even better.
Maybe we need to change that and become a PM system elected by parliament and under constant supervision. I just pray that we don’t lose Ayatollah Khamenei anytime soon.
