Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) warned on May 24 that it was “fully ready” to deliver a decisive, regret-inducing response, beyond imagination, to any hostile act against the Islamic Republic.
“The IRGC, grounded in the ideals of the Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and Iran’s eternal martyrs, and guided by the wise directives of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stands at the peak of strength and readiness,” the IRGC said in a statement issued to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces in 1982.
“In close coordination with other armed forces, we remain trigger-ready to deliver a decisive, regret-inducing response, beyond imagination, to any hostile enemy action,” it added.
Just a day earlier, Iran held the fifth round of nuclear talks with the United States in the Italian capital, Rome, with limited progress being reported.
The nuclear talks saw real progress earlier this month, then a serious disagreement on uranium enrichment was reported. Washington stressed that in any deal Iran would not be permitted to enrich uranium, while Tehran vowed that it won’t give up its right to do so.
The IRGC warning also came following reports suggesting that Israel was still preparing a large-scale strike against the Islamic Republic.
On May 20, CNN revealed that Intelligence obtained recently by the U.S. suggested that Israel was making preparations to strike Iranian nuclear facilities. The intelligence was based on the public and private communications from senior Israeli officials as well as intercepted Israeli communications and observations of Israeli military movements, according to the news channel.
The report was confirmed by Axios on May 21, a pair of Israeli officials telling the news website that Israel was preparing to quickly strike Iran if ongoing nuclear talks failed.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier in the week casted doubt on the prospect of reaching a new nuclear agreement with the U.S. If that talks indeed collapse, Israel could launch a strike against the Islamic Republic even without support from Washington. U.S. forces in the Middle East will be drawn into the resulting conflict in any case.

you cannot prevent a country’s progress in nuclear technology. one day these zionist schizoids will be shocked once the iranians, turks and arabs get nukes. oh boy that will be the day and its coming. tick tock
israel is a genocidal country
“nukes” does not exist. its only a psychopatic tool to hold the cattle afraid, and down on the carpet. for “us”, its also a tool to make trouble, and start war. like in “nine eleven”, homemade terror.
if i have to pick a side, i get why iran feels cornered—constantly threatened and told what it can or can’t do. but at the same time, threatening a “regret-inducing” response just fuels the fire. both sides keep raising the stakes, and it’s regular people who always end up paying the price. wish there was more talk, less saber-rattling.
it’s complicated, too, because you can see so much courage in the way iranian women push back—risking everything to stand up for themselves. that spirit, honestly, is inspiring, even if the system feels crushing sometimes. i can imagine how seeing that contradiction—the defiance against oppression—might get you thinking about the deeper forces at play in society and consciousness.
swedish women pretend to be girlfriend, so they can accuse of “rape”. you really dont understand what evil are, do you ? are you a machine ? heaven help us all !
so what would you have iran do?
this is not just about uranium enrichment but also the emerging russia- india – iran trade corridor and the west’s ever increasing disability to keep up with the rest of the world because of the political wars on their own populations.
it’s time to do to iran what we did to gaza…hehheeheehehe
“hehhehhhehhe” after every post. you’re both infantile and evil. perfectly encapsulates the zionist mind. absolutely disgusting behavior.
no dog in this fight, i have a country full of enemies and not many options my self, i say us lets iran do to israel what russia did to ukraine and settle the score here at home first.
