On Thursday, the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) stormed the ISIS-held town of Riyad in the province of Kirkuk. The advance started following a full liberating of the important town of Hawija and the nearby Fatha and al-Harariat areas from ISIS.
The ISIS defense south of the Kirkuk provincial capital is rapidly collapsing under the pressure of th army and the PMU that had deployed a large force for the operation.
Pro-government sources say that government troops have liberated 98 villages and killed 196 ISIS members since the start of the second phase of Operation of al-Hawija Liberation.
Hawija:
Pro-government forces:
looks like the terrorists are easily defeated … more victory for these great iraqi resistance fighters … God bless
There will be no ISIS attack from south of Kirkuk to protect the Kurds in Kirkuk as it will be liberated as well politically and by arms. Barzani clan (zionist proxies) entering death throes as well as the supporters of death and destruction of nation states.
Let me guess: the ISIS fighters of Hawija got a free ride out towards Syria where they now threaten Sukhna.
In the mean time the Syrian Army is busy in its march towards Mayadeen. They claim that it is meant to divert the attention of ISIS from Sukhna. But why would ISIS do that? When they want they are very good in defending an area. And the Syrian Army has given them several weeks to build their defenses there. In contrast ISIS controls many of the hills around Sukhna what gives them a good starting point for attacking the city. They would be fools to give such an advantageous position.
It seems to me that the guy making strategy for the Syrian army nowadays is either a complete amateur or an Israeli agent.
