Iraqi security forces (ISF) and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have liberated 10 villages from ISIS terrorist group west of the city of Tal Afar in the province of Nineveh.
The villages were liberated during the past 3 days. The operation is a part of the effort to retake the city of Mosul from ISIS.
Iraqi forces also set control over the key highway in the area between Tal Afar to Tal Abta. The highway had been used by ISIS terrorists to transport military hardware and munitions.
On Tuesday, Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) commander Brigadier General Haider Fadhil announced that the al-Falah district of Mosul had been liberated from ISIS terrorists.
