The Russian delegation has arrived Baghdad to review the existing military-technical cooperation (MTC) deals, Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman stated.

The delegation of Russia’s federal service for military-technical cooperation (MTC) reviewed several deals with Iraq during its visit to Baghdad.

“The participants of the meeting have again reviewed the existing deals between Russia and Iraq, they made a decision to stop implementation of some and continue [implementation] of others. Difficulties which arise from the managerial point of view as well as technical issues were discussed,” Sputniknews cites, Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman, Tahsin Ibrahim.

Additionally to the military-technical development, Russia and Iraq has been already cooperating in a wide reange of the ares including energy sector and investment.

Last Wednesday, Iraqi Parliament Defense and Security Committee Chairman Haqim Zamli stated that Iraq could ask Russia for military help in the fight against ISIS.
